I can't wait. It's still Patrick, Esme and Hugo Boss (used to be known as Joe Lycett). I really love it, everyone looks as though they are enjoying themselves immensely (except when there's 10 mins to go and their zip has just fallen of obviously).

I notice that it's made it onto BBC1 this year, probably because there's so little new programming being made at the moment.

Love to see the outfits but find Joe Lycett really unfunny and annoying.

Jonb6 · 11/04/2020 22:14

Love this, I find it inspiring

IndigoApple · 12/04/2020 19:56

So glad it's back, been waiting ages as it was on much earlier last year because I remember it being on when we were in holiday in March. DH and I enjoy it, even though neither of us can sew.

covetingthepreciousthings · 12/04/2020 21:37

I loved the first couple of series, but I miss Claudia Winkleman. Will give it another go though.

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 14/04/2020 16:14

The contestants (I know they call them sewers, but I always struggle to read it correctly!).

They don't seem to have put them up on the BBC website yet though.

Wilma55 · 14/04/2020 16:17

First series showing at same time on Really tv

iklboo · 14/04/2020 16:19

Awwwww yeah!

SchadenfreudePersonified · 14/04/2020 17:15

iklboo - I could kiss you for this wonderful news!

HURRAH!!!

JasperRising · 15/04/2020 16:15

I am a bit worried about the talk in that article of revamping the themes. I went off bake off when it became more about more about theme weeks. I want to see technical skill and well made clothes even if that means seeing them make ball dresses again when they did that in a previous series. My favourite is still the lady who worked completely without patterns because I loved seeing a skill that I absolutely do not have (not that I have that much skill using patterns either)

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 15/04/2020 17:20

I remember the recycling (?) week, where they had to make a dog coat out of an old tent. That was one point where I thought they'd taken the theme a bit too far!

I don't mind the themes as long as they're fairly general; cotton week, silk week, children's clothing week type thing.

MinesaPinot · 15/04/2020 18:49

I love this, so pleased it's back!

I agree with that kind of theme being ok - you have to have something to link an episode together after all - but that article linked above was talking about sci fi week which I am less sure about!

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 15/04/2020 22:52

Anyone else watching on Really at the moment?

grafittiartist · 15/04/2020 22:55

Can't wait!!

TreeTopTim · 17/04/2020 07:50

I didn't watch the first series or two so I am looking forward to catching up on Really.

I do hope that they don't move it to bbc1 and completely change it. The show works well so there's no need for change.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 17/04/2020 09:46

It's wonderful isn't it TreeTop

I'm dreading it being "improved", too. Heaven forbid!

CaptainMyCaptain · 17/04/2020 09:54

Hugo Boss (used to be known as Joe Lycett)
He has changed it back now according to his Instagram yesterday. He will be revealing something massive in terms of a huge financial victory and doesn't want Hugo Boss to have any claim on it.

Anyway, looking forward to Sewing Bee and hoping for some inspiration. I quite liked the dog coat made out of a tent. Although I haven't done that I have made some dog coats.

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 17/04/2020 13:01

Hopefully he's changing back because Hugo Boss have agreed not to bully small companies who happen to have the word boss in their name or product name.

CaptainMyCaptain · 17/04/2020 14:17

Sadly, I don't think they have agreed that. I think Macdonalds are just as bad.

TreeTopTim · 18/04/2020 06:16

@SchadenfreudePersonified yes 'improved' always means turning it into a drama laden shit show.

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 22/04/2020 10:39

Is everybody ready for tonight?

GinghamChicken · 22/04/2020 12:30

Is it on, now? I can only find Big Night In on the schedules!

GinghamChicken · 22/04/2020 12:34

Ignore me! Panic over! I'd whizzed too far on the TV guide and ended up on Thursday. So sorry if I've worried anyone.

dontcallmelen · 22/04/2020 12:40

Just checking in, I have no sewing skills whatsoever but I get so much joy from watching this programme, yy the themes though hope it doesn’t get silly like the way of bake off.
