I cringed at Brendan patting Kelly on the bottom

3andnomore · 26/11/2007 16:19

lol I cringe at Brendan Full Stop....he may can dance but that is it...

Oh, the Group dance was great though wasn't it.

Tigerschick · 26/11/2007 16:54

JulesJules - I didn't know about Karen being on Breakfast (We're strictly a cbbeeies household!) but that would certainly explain why Brendan and Kelly flew off the handle in Friday night.

bossybritches · 26/11/2007 17:10

I think Brendan must be faily unpopulaar within the Strictly prof camp. He's so arrogant (I know they all are a bit but he's nasty with it) & he CONSTANTLY flaunts the rules & then has a hissy fit when he's told off!

MARGOsBeenPlayingWithMyNooNoo · 26/11/2007 17:24

Yes and Brendans threat on the Sunday show "blah blah blah I'll slap you down" he's losing the competition for Kelly.

bossybritches · 26/11/2007 17:27

Yes I think if Kelly does go out before the final it will be down to him.

3andnomore · 26/11/2007 17:31

indeed it would be....

tribpot · 26/11/2007 20:45

Have now watched Friday. Basically Claudia said, Karen says your samba lacks pizzazz and they were like 'what would Karen know?' and Kelly said 'we just ignore Karen's comments now'. Well, my dear, Karen is a multiple world champion, so it's vaguely possible she knows what she's talking about, perhaps you should wind your flipping neck in?! Seriously - do not diss Karen, she rocks the mostest.

bossybritches · 26/11/2007 21:07

Well she did just happen to win last year AND she judges a lot of competitions so POSSIBLY dear brendan should button it??

Actually I thought he was quite humble tonight on ITT- for him that is!!

Tigerschick · 27/11/2007 08:19

Thought IT2 was very interesting tonight. Agree that there seemed to be a change in Brendan's attitude - until Claudia told him that he's the only professional to have been in the bottom 2 and then go on to win - he sat a little sraighter after that I thought Arlene was a bit OTT the way she started shouting at Kelly. She could have made her point quite easily without getting so het up. It's a shame because she had a good point to make but people are more likely to ignore things that are shouted at them than things that are said in a reasonable way IME.

It will be interesting to see what Karen has to say tonight ...

bossybritches · 27/11/2007 08:36

Yes I thought Arlene was a bit off actually- not sure what she was wittering about. Kelly made a valid point- with the cameras around you have to have a bit of a laugh or they'd get no footage! (& they are trying to sell themseslves aren't they?)

Actually the more I see of Craig the more I like him. He's bloody acerbic at times but he is very honest & not given to flannel like Bruno! (who makes me laugh he's SO inconsistant, bless him!)

MerryAnnSinglemas · 27/11/2007 09:59

I can barely bring myself to listen to Arlene's voice - so grating !

Notquitegrownup · 27/11/2007 11:33

Oh nooooo. I missed Lea Mead on ITT last night. Forget the dancing for a moment. How was he?!

bossybritches · 27/11/2007 11:34

Isn't it just-& she's ALWAYS trying to get a clever phrase or sentence out, doesn't tell it like it is like Craig!

3andnomore · 27/11/2007 12:24

Lea Mead?
Henry Winkler (or whatever "Fonzies" name is) was cool though
And for Judges, I like Craig, too, Bossy
As for Arlene, she makes me laugh when she pulls that face like she just sucked on a lemon, lol....but agree, she should have told Kelly ratehr then getting her knicks into a twist about it....but then, Len already told them when judging on Saturday...they did show an awful lot of footage though, where Kelly kept telling Brendan that she thinks it's better this or that way, which didn't do the girl any favours and probably influenced the judging a bit, too....I think!

bossybritches · 27/11/2007 12:38

NQ I think you are in for a nice treat Lee M is on tonight I'm sure!

3and do you get the feeling that the judges are cracking down on Brendan & Kelly?

Tigerschick · 27/11/2007 12:42

You're OK Notquitegrownup - Lee Mead wasn't on last night.

I agree about Craig. He seems to be able to separate his judging from the rest of his personality. Arlene, Len and Bruno really only have one way of looking at and talking about the dancing etc.
I think that he can be a little too cruel with his comments on a Saturday night but at least he is consistent. He's certainly my favourite judge and has been since the second or third serise (in the first serise I just thought he was mean but I didn't watch the 'back-up show' on BBC3.)

bossybritches · 27/11/2007 12:45

Yes I think ITT has shown he has a fun side & can be quite constructive. I agree he can be a bit cruel on the Saturday nights where Fred tries to be constructive-I think he's getting better about constructive comments though!

Notquitegrownup · 27/11/2007 12:51

Thanks Ladies. They mentioned at the end of Sunday's show that he was going to be on Strictly Take Two - I thought on Monday, but it must be tonight!

Right, I can get back to concentrating on your comments now!

I've so gone off Brendan this week too, and I've always had a soft spot for him.

But it is nice to hear that Matt and Flavia (whom my boys insist on calling Flabbier!) are an item, Puddle. The chemistry comes across, particularly in the rehearsal scenes. (Hope Vincent isn't too heartbroken, of course.)

Tigerschick · 27/11/2007 12:51

He's started doing a Jeremy Clarkson impression too - "I thought the footwork was good, the posture was very nice, the choreography was excellent ... but I didn't like it" or vice versa

(Apologies to non-Top Gear fans)

3andnomore · 27/11/2007 13:36

Bossy, maybe not so much the judges, the programmemaker maybe wanted them a bit humbled...hence showing such footage, iykwim...all about editing, etc...eh!

Dh made a good point on Saturday, about the way they judged that day....it seems they were all looking at a certain aspect, which they do anywya, because no one can take everything in, I suppose...but they seemed to have changed the aspects tehy look at...i.e. ratehr then Craig looking at pure technique it seemed to be Len that did that, etc....hence Craig was able to be Mister Nice Guy for a change and Len was miserable guts, lol....

theheadgirl · 27/11/2007 14:11

Notquite - I am going to call her Flabbier myself now. Its a small act of rebellion cos she's so beautiful. As Marion Keyes said on last years ITT - "if life had been kinder, I could have been her.." (she was talking about Lilia though)

3andnomore · 27/11/2007 14:26

lol headgirl.....
and lol at Flabbier Yeah, she is utterly gorgeous....it shouldn't be allowed, you know....

peacemakeruk · 27/11/2007 14:48

If Vincent is upset I'm sure I can help to make him feel better

3andnomore · 27/11/2007 15:33

lol...now Vincent is soooooooo not my type!
