Strictly Come Dancing

I am so looking forward to this years show! Anyone else? I know its not everyone's cup of tea but I so look forwrad to seeing the outfits as well!

I have heard that the following are on it:

Soooooo pleased Kelly was in the bottom 2. Might bring her down a peg or two.
Not at all surprised that John went tonight. Tho I like him, I agree that his time was up. The only one I'd have been less surprised to see go was Kenny - but that was before last night!
Is that the first time this serise that the ones in the bottom 2 were the bottom 2 with the judges?

Agreed CL- Brendan is a nasty piece of work (but boy he can dance!) & I hope it brings them BOTH down to earth that neither of them is gods gift.

I'm now going for Mat & Flavia & Alyesha & Matt in the final.

Brendan not very nice at all - but I don't get all this hostility towards Kelly - she's a great dancer and I think,beautiful.

Pretty pleeaase, can someone tell me what happened between Karen Hardy and Kelly and Brendan? DP forgot to tape fridays it takes two, and I missed it

I don't like her because she doesn't seem to take it seriously. She laughs when she's criticised, and seems very arrogant.

With regards to Kelly, I still like her. I was disappointed to hear her being a bit snippy about Karen. She didn't dance as well this week, I'm glad she was in the last 2 this week. I'm hoping that this will give her a kick up the bum and give us a good performance next week.

I haven't seen tonights episode yet. DH is watching Top Gear and I've recorded it.

I think Kelly IS beautiful & a great dancer but she's fallen in the past for this arrogant attitude of Brendans ( but I think may be realissing her mistake!) & as he's the choreographer she succeeds or fails on his merits.

I missed the thing with Karen too Womble- was it handbags?

The thing with Karen was just that Claudia mentioned that, on Tuesday in the 'professional pannel', Karen had said that Kelly and Brendan's jive had lacked a spark. And Brendan jumped straight in with some comment about that being the reason that he and Karen aren't getting on - she has been 'down' on their dancing since the beginning. Kelly jumped in saying something similar and Claudia tried to move on Brendan agreed that they should move on but managed to stretch the issue for at least another minute of the interview. Claudia pointed out that she had picked up on the only negative thing Karen had said and Brendan repeated that he didn't care what Karen had to say. All a but silly and rather uncomfortable for Claudia.

I agree that Kelly and Brendan are fantastic dancers but they come across as being so arrogant the whole time. Kelly really lost it for me when she tried to interrupt Len a few weeks ago and, when he wouldn't let her, she said "That's so rude!" with a look of mock horror on her face. I hope that having been in the bottom 2 will make them a little less arrogant as it has shown them that they haven't got the public support that they perhaps thought they had and maybe they will start to take it a little more seriously. Still can't get over their complaining that they didn't have time to practise because of the group dance ... erm ... weren't all the couples pratising the group dance?

Gosh - this is a long post!

My mum says she reminds her of Ava Gardner, on the looks and the personality front unfortunately
I am rooting for Letitia purely because of her sadist/stylist and also, she has improved so much since the contest started. And if I am not mistaken, shed a few kilos too, well done Letitia
I think Alesha may well win it, but she's been excellent since the beginning, so her journey's been pretty but quite uninspiring IMO

Oooh, now Kelly has dissed my dancing queen Karen she is permanently in my bad books (haven't watched Friday's It Takes Two yet).

I agree she is beautiful and a good dancer but so is Alesha (and so is Gethin, yummity yum). She comes across as very insincere, though, and Brendan is just a trouble-maker, it's so boring. Ooh Brendan's broken the rules, ooh Brendan's had a fight with the judges, la la la. This is the Beeb, darling, let's just focus on the dancing.

I also laughed when I saw her desperately trying to get her curlers out before the camera caught her backstage. Says it all. How much time does she spend on hair and makeup before the training sessions?! Maybe that's why they didn't have enough time to practice ....

Thank you tigerschick! agree with marina & ruty on the Kelly & Brendan thing. I think that is a bit snippy of them re Karen, I find her very balanced really as a commentator, and she obviously is so passionate. I thought erin and anton were fab, but my faves are Matt and Flavia, and Alesha and Matthew, because they obviously really feel the dance, imho,so did john barnes

Well Letitia starts panto next week, so will be rehearsing and performing that as well as learning 2 dances, doubt we'll hear her using that as an excuse though - she's just loving it and giving it her all. She deserves votes.

Kelly and Brendan don't.

(Agree about Anton's dance this week, it was stunning).

Loved Erin & Antons dance!

I thought the dirty dancing routine great too -they were obviously enjoying themselves hugely & looked very good!

Totally agree about Kelly & Brendan-they are well-matched in that they are both so arrogant. Did you hear Brendans comment about the panel being "old" & then he called Kelly "Sweetheart" & patted her on the bum in a very proprietal& chauvanistic manner!!

The children love Alesha but I would love Letitia to win - she has improved so much and is such a great performer.

Matt and Flavia are an item apparantly - her former beau Vincent has updated his Facebook status to 'single' (it said in the trashy papers this weekend).

I think Kelly is ok but lacking in personality. I think the criticisms levelled at Gethin re: passion and heart are better levelled at Kelly. Brendan is clearly an arrogant sh*t though who thought it was in the bag until this week.

Puddle mine too- Saturdays are lovely family viewing in our house. Strictly followed by Robin Hood,cuddled up on the sofa with (usually) a tray supper which is a trreat in our house!

at Matt & Flavia-poor Vincent-she's a bit older than him isn't she? They say every young man needs an older woman to set him on the road at some point! ;)

Poor Gethin I think he's got tons more reactrion & facial expression than he has had! If you are shy & not actually attracted to your partner it must be difficult to act lusty!

"The thing with Karen" wasn't just about what she said on ITT - Karen has been doing a regular SCD report on Breakfast TV on which she has been critical of both Kelly and Brendan. This week she said that John got higher scores that Kelly (er, no) and that the judges had such a go at K and B because of "liberties" Brendan has taken over the past few series - that's hardly fair on Kelly, whatever you think of her.

I think it was fair that John went out, he had ample chance to improve on his posture, he's been told over and over....

Was also glad that Brendan and Kelly were in the bottom 2, they did deserve to be placed there, but they also deserved to go through. They are brilliant dancers together, but this week they weren't great, simple as that.....and hopefully it will make them change their attitude a bit.
Oh, and I also agree that Kelly is beautyful to look at, but as soon as she opens that mouth of hers I just cringe....she is so irritating.

LURVE Aleasha...and Matt's dance was fabulous and I hope they will go through to teh final with either Letitia or Kelly.
