I am so looking forward to this years show! Anyone else? I know its not everyone's cup of tea but I so look forwrad to seeing the outfits as well!

Truly shocking result. I cannot bear to see Kate 'dance' for another week. Gabby has given her all - it just seems so unfair.

I felt this week's show was ruined by the stupidity of the voters, yes , of course people can vote for whoever they want, but they don't seem to realise that the direct consequence of voting for a useless not very good dancer because you feel sorry for them is that a really good dancer gets knocked out. And I can't stand the whole waiting for Sunday night thing when we all know it happens on Saturday night. The result was even up on the BBC news online before the show went out tonight. What's the betting that Kate makes the final??

I reckon they will change the voting yet again next year to prevent this from happening. IMO if the judges weren't commenting on the dances, the dancers would be more likely to go out in order of talent.

I was surprised that Kenny, John or Kate weren't in the final three.

Gabby really wanted to dance, she left ITV as they prevented her from joining Strictly last year. It's very sad that she was out so soon. Although her dance partner was too scary looking to be endearing to the public.

Phew, a long post from me. Must lie down.

I guess the problem for both Gabby and Penny is that they are not absoltuely brilliant, so don't get the votes from people who look at the dancing; they are not super famous/on tv everyday, so they don't get the celebrity vote and they are not being castigated by the judges so they don't get the sympathy vote.
Trouble is I really can't see a way 'round it and the bbc aren't going to do anything coz everyone is going to keep watching (not that I blame them, that is their job after all). Don't really see what they could do anyway.
Still really and for Gabby.

I did find it quite amusing that Gabby went as everyone was joking that her hubbie would be off before her! Any way it is for charity and a bit of fun, and people will always vote for their favourite personality - the results would prob be the same if they just sat there and the public just voted!

Did anyone see if Kate said anything on GMTV?
Would be interested to know what was said as apparently the newspapers are full of it.

No, Anton annoys the life out of me, all that cheesy, I wanna be an entertainer bit, am relieved that Ian and Penny stayed because Ian is my favourite dancer.

I think Kate was terrible and she really has no right being left in a DANCING competition. Aleisha is fantastic and deserved to get a 10 far more than Kelly...

Yes Alesha is my favourite too, was really annoyed that Kelly did a really good dance

So about Gabby going. I really wanted Kenny to stay tho he is endearing.

And Bruno - he was my fave, but I cant believe he let Kelly and Brendan get away with that.

Matt and Flavia deserved a ten -easily the best Smooth of the night, in fact more than one 10.

I liked Penny as well tho so it was a hard decision.

Bottom two should have been Kate and Kelly (so they could see that breaking the rules even pees off the public).... of course Kate would have gone.

It would appear I am alone in my joy that Gabby has gone. I actually screamed with delight and punched the air when Len said he was keeping Penny and Ian.

I had a little smirk too when Gabby was dispatched. I know she's good, but I just didn't like the way she assumed she was going to stay longer than Kenny.

I was pleased Gabby went. She is too thin and is too competitive.

Apparently all the gossip on it takes two at 6.30pm. bbc2.

That is a fair point about Gabby actually. Still wish it had been kelly and Brendan and kate and Anton in the dance off.

She showed off how she could do a back flip at 34 (said she was 36 in the paper today ) and is a mother of two "say no more" she said. It isn't good to blow your own trumpet, Gabby and you have only had 1 pregnancy so of course your body isn't ruined yet!

She can be competitive. She just isn't gracious. Apparently she went off in tears when she didn't get top marks in her first dance and had to be comforted by her mother.

Nab, don't forget that Penny was blubbing when she was slated for her Octopus jive.....
