Can anyone recommend anything to watch? I'm living through fictional romances at the moment. Im struggling to watch something that has really good romances with good chemistry, but actually have a good story too and not too soppy.
Any that people recommend I've usually watched

Thank you :)

Virgin River is very romantic, but a bit soppy. I'm enjoying Outlander. Have you watched it? I'm not okay with this is really sweet and funny.

Witchofzog · 31/03/2020 16:12

This is Us on Prime. The characters have awesome relationships and the story is fab too

Roseysheep · 31/03/2020 16:17

I watched virgin River, I liked that.
I've watched the first season or so of outlander but I trailed off it when it got a bit political, think I'll go back to it though thank you! I did enjoy it!

Ill have a look at this is us too, thank you

I don't know if this fits the bill exactly but I've really enjoyed The Mallorca Files on iPlayer. It's a detective series so stand alone episodes but with a will they/won't they between the leads. And lots of fab scenery!

Roseysheep · 31/03/2020 16:25

Thank you! I'll put that on my list also

If you don't mind subtitles try Crash landing on you. It's Korean and on Netflix. I may have gotten a little obsessed with it.

Roseysheep · 31/03/2020 16:34

Thank you :) I don't mind subtitled at all

I enjoyed Grey's anatomy. The romance between Sandra Oh's and Kevin McKidd's characters really stands out for me. Also all the other relationships too!

Also outlander!

QuestionableMouse · 31/03/2020 16:43

Chicago Fire has some good romantic sub plots.

Teacaketotty · 31/03/2020 16:47

Definitely go back to outlander, it’s not so political after the first season or so!

Roseysheep · 31/03/2020 16:48

Greys is my all time favourite programme but I'm caught up with that. So jealous of those yet to watch it!

Jane The Virgin! So romantic - swoon!

But also absolutely hilarious, OMG. It's completed now and I enjoyed every minute.

ElspethFlashman · 31/03/2020 16:49

That's Netflix btw!

IdblowJonSnow · 31/03/2020 16:53

I'm not ok with this is fab! Very quirky. Hadn't thought of it as a romance but yes if definitely has that element to it.
Sex Education is excellent.
Both are on Netflix
Ooh, also Dickensian is a good drama, not too heavy. Really enjoying it.
Will try Jane the Virgin.
Thank god for Netflix.

Roseysheep · 31/03/2020 16:56

I've watched Jane the virgin and sex education. I'll have a look at I'm not okay with this.
Thank you :)

Have you seen My Love From the Star? One of the most famous Korean ones from the last few years. Huge hit.

I really enjoyed it. Basically alien falls to earth, gets stuck here for 100s of years, then in present day meets a vacuous and selfish movie star. The female lead is absolutely fantastic, so fun.

Roseysheep · 31/03/2020 17:12

No I haven't, I'll have a look, thank you

Roseysheep · 31/03/2020 17:38
