I gave Neighbours up several months ago as I couldn't keep with both. Home and Away had the edge!

I can't believe Lewis actually bumped off those patients to blame it on Christian. I don't really understand how that transpired. Lewis was convinced that Christian was a danger to people, so decided to kill 3 patients before Christian could?! And now they'll just blame it on psychological reasons 🤔

Yes, to prove Christian (rather than Lewis) was a danger to patients. His logic was slightly lacking.

It's such a big storyline for a guest star. And no one else seems to know / care?!

Yeah I suppose you needed it to be a guest star like Susie as you'd lose the character. I think when he went to do it to Ari he said something about him having no chance of survival so I think in his warped mind it was ok because they'd die anyway and now it was for a good cause. But yes the purpose seems to be to cause Jas more anguish and mix things up with Chrori

I realised this a couple of weeks ago but just thought about it again today after watching todays episode. Summer Bay High has literally just disappeared from the show theres no members of the main cast either at the school or teaching there. They also don't even show extras in the background in uniform or anything. I just thought about it again today seeing Ru at the Bait Shop and she doesn't even talk about working at the school anymore, I'm not really sure what she does now. Weird!

I think they decided to phase out the school storylines when they wrote Maggie out. I read somewhere that the actress who plays Roo has scolios so she has regular time off for managing her back pain. Maybe it wasn't sustainable to have so many school based storylines with her regular absences, as it was too noticeable? It made more sense when she was lecturing at a university, as she was only shown there occasionally.

Also I think they cut the number of extras right back last spring / summer to make it easier covid wise, so keeping the public areas to the hospital scenes, Salt / surf club, the diner, and the beach made that less obvious? Classroom scenes of 20 kids sat next to each other would have been too tricky to film.

Watching the Erinsborough High scenes in Neighbours has made me appreciate the lack of Summer Bay High, just terrible! I guess they'd have to bring in at least one new family with school age kids, preferably two - I guess if John sells his house a family can move in there? Maybe create more houses on that street with his house and the Peratas? Must be more difficult to do with Covid restrictions though as you're adding more sets, more people. I don't know when the episodes we're watching now were filmed (or to be fair what restrictions they may still have right now!)

I don't think they have many restrictions within Australia, just you can't get in from outside.

The annoying teenagers / school scenes are the reason I stopped watching Neighbours earlier this year!

I wonder why no one has suggested Tori and Christian buying John's house?

Yes that all makes sense. You'd think they'd have the odd extra floating around in uniform though, the school has just disappeared, not that I'm sad about it Sydney area has been pretty lucky with the whole COVID thing, Victoria, where Neighbours is filmed, not so much. But yeh Ru's back is pretty bad, you can see the curvature in her spine pretty clearly and that's why she walks with a sort of limp for want of a better explanation. My friend had that condition as a young teen but had her back straightened with surgery/metal rods.

Tomorrow's episode will be good!

The actress playing Mack is doing a grand job IMHO.

Her drunk acting was certainly something.

I don't get why Jazz freaked about the Tower card. Max said past, present, future. The Tower perfectly summed up her past!

I think I've seen online that Emily Weir who plays Mack has her own personal history with alcoholism.

I felt the same about Jazz. What an unnecessary reaction that was!

I'm sorry for Dean losing Amber and Jai AGAIN. I would prefer her say "look mate, you're in love with Ziggy but I don't want to mess Jai around anymore so we're going to move into our own place. That way we can focus on parenting him and giving him a happy life, but not making each other miserable".

Yeah it seems to have to be everything or nothing. Traditionally she should move in with Irene

I did enjoy drunk Jazz though, nice to see her carefree and appreciative of Irene's wisdom

Poor Deano. He really does want to love Amber and I think he does in his own way but just not IN LOVE like she is with him. I'm glad she's not settled for second best but wish she'd stayed in the bay

Amber and Jai could easily have stayed in the bay. I thought Dean as a hands on dad was a really good addition to his character. It's annoying that they brought Amber and Jai back as part of the Willow return, but now all 3 of them have left. Makes no sense!

If he wasn't selling up, she could have moved in with John. That could have really worked

I would have loved that! The John / Amber relationship was surprisingly great to watch.

And I think it would do him good, he feels so useless. Reckon playing Grandpa to Curly would give him back some purpose and I like that Amber calls him out

Ari is getting right on my wick at the moment. Think it's cos he was so insecure and jealous about Tane and Mack then dropped Mack like a hot potato as soon as his ex came on the scene.

Amber and Jai moving in with Irene would've been the best! I'm over Ari as well. All smoochy smoo with Mia who I can't stand. My ideal scenario would be Ziggy and Dean to get back together, Tane and Ziggy are an awful match IMO. Tane and Mack to hook up like I wanted from the start and Chloe and Mia to leave the show and poor Ari will unfortunately be left out in the cold. Oh yes and Amber and Jai to stick around as well.
