@KatieKat88 our Christmas break is different to the "season finale" in Australia 🙄 so we've stopped rather abruptly while things come to a proper conclusion / cliffhanger for their break!

@CurbsideProphet oh god I knew they did that and yet my brain completely forgot about it until I saw it wasn't on today, can they not sort it out?! Bloody daft. They should be showing 2 episodes of Neighbours a day at least to catch us up, I can't handle that it's Halloween there

It was bizarre that at the end of Thursdays episode on 5Star they showed the advert for how to watch the show 1 day early but didn't mention the Christmas break 🤷‍♀️

It would make more sense to show episodes up to the Season Finale and then break it for X weeks so same pattern as Aus but later. The UK is a huge audience for H&A and Neighbours, you'd think they'd make more effort

And agree Neighbours needs to catch up, it's not so noticeable in Home and Away as they do so few festivities but Neighbours do them all so it's massively incongruent

I don’t watch Neighbours, do they have as many breaks as H&A?

So, so odd that Christmas isn’t ever shown or even mentioned really on H&A, blows my tiny mind 🤯

That would make sense @SleepingStandingUp and we need something bright to watch on these dark wintery days! And to appreciate the Cliffhanger... the suspense this year was barely noticeable (but then 2020 happened so maybe that wasn’t the worst thing!)

Not so much in Neighbours, but we lost weeks cos they cut our episodes during Corona so we're behind. I think we caught up a few years ago over their short break.

Yeah it annoys me that at best the cliff hanger is a weekend and sometimes just one day

I'm so glad H&A was back today. How lovely to see people stand close together and even HUGGING! What a welcome departure from reality to ponder how Ziggy will dispose of a van full of stolen goods, when Colby will get his comeuppance, and why Ari and Mack are still together when she clearly fancies his brother.
Long may it continue 😀

Did anyone see the fans’ favourite character of all time list on back to the bay? They do a poll every 2 years.

(My fav) Dean is number 5 if I remember correctly. Sally at number 1! Very weird that characters long gone still get dredged up, but I guess it is an “of all time” poll 🤷🏻‍♀️ If I had to choose overall - Romeo, Brax, Belle, Ruby, and Dexter’s girlfriend - the smart one (not Maz 😆)

It really is escapism. Life feels very grey at the moment so I'm even happier to see Summer Bay.

@SleepingStandingUp I watched today's at lunchtime and thought the exact same! I also thought Tori was saying Tane differently and couldn't concentrate on anything else 😀

DS and I watched together at lunch (thank you WFH/homeschooling) and were in hysterics at both Mac and Tori and their pronunciation. We decided that they had thought they might go for a proper yodel but it tailed off at the crucial moment.

Oh I didn't clock Tori doing it weird, maybe a baby was screeching

No social distancing for Tori and the neurosurgeon 😀 I quite like the two of them together. I hope it's a long term arrangement. At the moment Justin and Leah are the only couple?

John had completely recovered from his stroke (was it a stroke?) in super quick time 😏

Yeah I like that she's flawed and he seems ok with it, she's like in crazy and he's like nah, your just interesting. And that she didn't have sex with him, they haven't rushed into it. It feels more realistic than the usual sex before the first date and typing yourself in knots to change yourself for him.

Alf and Martha when they can be bothered to turn up for work 😂 but yeah it's odd there's no other couples atm. Colby and the Police Man's Wife and the Police Man lol
