So I had a look and I couldn't find a thread for this series (apologies if there is one already and if someone could link me!) so I thought I'd start one.

Who is looking forward to the new series starting tonight at 8bells on BBC2??

If I were doing a Beatrix-Potter based dish I would 100% cook rabbit. And I'd call the dish Flopsy, Mopsy & Cottontail. And it would be rabbit three ways.

Hey everyone, I missed the start because of clapping, where's Angela?

GrouchyKiwi · 16/04/2020 20:09

I love that Rishikesh learned to speak English from those books.

jay55 · 16/04/2020 20:11

Angela was so bored yesterday she's skipped main and coming back for puds.

Bubblysqueak · 16/04/2020 20:16

To be honest listening to the descriptions think I would go straight to the puds too.

Flying veg, brilliant.

GrouchyKiwi · 16/04/2020 20:21

That lamb looks very under, IMO. The fat is hardly rendered.

GrouchyKiwi · 16/04/2020 20:23

Rishikesh's dish looks delicious.

Bubblysqueak · 16/04/2020 20:23

Ds 6 just said woah that's Mr McGregors garden alright.

GrouchyKiwi · 16/04/2020 20:24

Fucksake. I wonder if one day I'll not cry when people on TV cry.

Bubblysqueak · 16/04/2020 20:25

Aww bless him, he really worked hard on that dish and it means so much to him. Love the presentation, hope it tastes as good as it looks and he gets a good score.

jay55 · 16/04/2020 20:25

They're eating up the lot. Brilliant.
Nice to see a fun dish that eats well.

GrouchyKiwi · 16/04/2020 20:30

Nice. Turned things on their head rather.

GrouchyKiwi · 16/04/2020 20:43

Nooo. More bugs. Go home, George.

jay55 · 16/04/2020 20:52

Granola again. Ffs it should never be on dessert.

Bubblysqueak · 16/04/2020 20:53

Think he should have used at least a small element of peach in a dish based on James and the giant peach.

PotterHead1985 · 16/04/2020 20:53

Bugs. Shudder

jay55 · 16/04/2020 20:58

GrouchyKiwi · 16/04/2020 20:59

Good.

I used to visit the Gilpin (Hrishi’s place) quite regularly years ago, when I had family in the area, before his tenure, and it was amazing even then. Family run place, amazing food, and Christine (who ran it at the time - I think her son has now taken over the day to day running) was so lovely and really took care of her guests. The location is amazing. I remember when Hrishi was in the Alex Polizzi show where he “won” his place at the Gilpin and always thought it would be a great fit. It looks like it has really worked out for him and the family, and I am really looking forward to going back,.

lettingthedaysgoby · 17/04/2020 20:30

Arrives from the MC thread, still indignant for Sandy.

GrouchyKiwi · 17/04/2020 20:31

I love that info Jemima.

Me and all letting.

PotterHead1985 · 17/04/2020 20:31

My DD is very put out that Tom served his food on a stone. I have trained her well.
