The Repair Shop new series on BBC1 tonight at 8:00.
For those of you who've not seen it, people bring in cherished family items for renovation by a team of (fantastically experienced) experts.
Anything from Teddies to flying jackets, clocks and furniture turn up.
My favourite feel-good show.

I love this programme and was really glad to see they have put it on BBC1.....but really sad to realise it clashes with the return of Great British Menu.

We aren't in the UK so can't catch up on iplayer and we have no option to record one or the other Sad

I've watched episode and now my home is littered with half finished restoration projects The experts make it look so easy Smile

Another fan here. Such a warm, gentle and uplifting programme. I have a very precious (to me, not at all in monetary terms) item that needs restoring. It was made for me as a child by my late Dad, who was a carpenter, so it would be in Will's very safe hands. One day hopefully....

Chemenger · 18/03/2020 17:45

This is my favourite programme, perfect for these traumatic times.

iklboo · 18/03/2020 17:53

Love this show. Perfect for saving to watch just before bed. I'm not crying you are.

iklboo · 19/03/2020 16:12

Ooh that was a lovely one. A new expert and lots of Will & Susie.

Samcro · 19/03/2020 16:24

ooh i loved it. hope we see the teddy ladies soon and 2glassses

iklboo · 19/03/2020 16:25

Sounds like his Mafia name 'Stevie Two Glasses' Grin

SoupDragon · 19/03/2020 16:28

I love this programme!

Such a warm, gentle and uplifting programme

It is, isn't it? I would love to work in the Barn (we will overlook the fact that I lack the level of talent they require!)

iklboo · 19/03/2020 16:36

You could make the brews @SoupDragon. They always seem to have one on the go.

SoupDragon · 19/03/2020 16:40

But would that earn me a gift in the Secret Santa they do in the Christmas episode??

ChewChewIsMySpiritAnimal · 19/03/2020 17:37

Will and Susie are my favourites. I am going to watch the new one tonight, it's the perfect antidote Smile

SapatSea · 19/03/2020 18:25

They really don't need Jay in his leather apron who does nothing. All the expert repairers are artculate, no need for a presenter and narrator

iklboo · 19/03/2020 19:24

I've got a teddy who would definitely stretch the talent of the two ladies Grin

deste · 19/03/2020 20:03

I love this programme. Is this just a tv programme or does anyone know if you can send things for repair.

Hi I know there is a link but I wouldn’t mind paying to get something repaired and just wondered if it was a business or a tv programme.

EstebanTheMagnificent · 22/03/2020 09:26

@deste all of the craftspeople have their own businesses which you could contact directly, but they exist as a collective only for the programme.

I love it so much. All the lovely warm wood and fairy lights, full of clever, skilled people quietly fixing things and making them right.

deste · 23/03/2020 20:22

Thankyou Esteban I will have a look.

billysboy · 24/03/2020 10:15

love this programme apart from Jay , take your hat off indoors please and the leather apron etc are a bit wanky along with Wills £10k rolex submariner , however its gentle pace and results are lovely
The experts are really what they are and take enormous pleasure in the results and the feel good on the owners of the items

Muuuuuuuum · 24/03/2020 10:21

It's known as the Barn of Tears in our house, as I cry every episode without fail.

Love it though - definitely the programme I need right now amidst all the madness.

BuzzShitbagBobbly · 24/03/2020 10:35

Another fan here.

I love it when they go and see Kirsten, because I love the way her name is properly pronounced - "Kyer-stchen"

(I have the same spark of joy whenever Alex Polizzi introduces herself on Hotel inspector Grin )

iklboo · 02/04/2020 12:08

Oh the jukebox guy!!

Lordfrontpaw · 02/04/2020 12:14

There was a bit on the presenter on the bbc website the other day. And no. He doesn’t need to wear a designer blacksmiths pinny if you ask me!

iklboo · 23/04/2020 21:32

Was the one this week a repeat? I've definitely see the Kirsten photo plate one and the 100 year old compass?!

The disappointment was crushing.
