Did you @Turnedouttoes? He seemed a bit odd. Quite intense. When he was saying he was put off by her kissing the other guy and then backtracked, he gave off red flag vibes to me.

Stripeyfrog · 10/03/2020 23:20

Me and DH watched it, found the concept strange and DH who usually would refuse to watch this sort of thing said she should have gone on a night out with each of the final two separately and then decided. It seemed really uncomfortable for them to be getting emotional etc in front of the other. We felt sorry for Glen letting himself out at the end while they had a kiss!

Liddell · 10/03/2020 23:50

I thought Amy could do better than any of these men.

I can't imagine it lasted with Christian.

estelle78 · 11/03/2020 10:35

Turnedouttoes - was Christian the wealthy banker guy? He seemed very intense and competitive just wanting to "win" rather than anything more invested. Imagine he could be very controlling.

What a strange ending with no follow up at all?! Seemed a bit pointless really.

FizzyPink · 11/03/2020 12:57

Yes although Christian actually works in IT for a bank rather than being a banker. But that’s him all over, he has a lot of insecurities and self image problems and likes to flash his supposed wealth around.
It won’t have worked out with him, he’s a complete commitment phobe and was very open about never wanting to settle down when I knew him. Nice guy but a lot of issues

KurriKawari · 11/03/2020 16:40

I've followed Glen on Twitter for years and he is genuinely lovely guy.

Flyingpurplepeopleeater · 11/03/2020 16:55

I found Christian really insulting when he said to Glen (when there were 3 of them left) that Scott was his main competition, like he didn't even exist!

Starksforthewin · 11/03/2020 18:22

Such a weird programme! Even by the standards of reality TV.

Why were some of them sleeping on the floor, that house looked big enough to have plenty of spare rooms?

Amy’s mother was a disgrace. She MUST have been told to act like that, asking them if they were good in bed FFS!

I will probably watch again, simply for the bizarre factor.

The guy who ‘won’ seemed to have a lot of red flags, very focussed on ‘winning’ rather than Amy.

Wish they did an update at the end like First Dates.

KurriKawari · 11/03/2020 18:43

If you want to avoid the Sun, update from Amy herself

VenusStarr · 11/03/2020 19:50

Not a big surprise there then. Thanks for sharing. Had a quick look at Glen's twitter... Still desperately seeking a woman, any woman will do 🙄

Even though its a terrible programme, I'm still going to watch!

KurriKawari · 12/03/2020 07:50

Erm, Glen has a girlfriend that he is very happy with. Sure it was his twitter?

VenusStarr · 12/03/2020 08:40

My mistake @KurriKawari it is Glen, but a pinned tweet from last Summer (shows up first), when he was desperately seeking the one who'll fix everything.

KurriKawari · 12/03/2020 10:26

I was expecting it to last all week, like a 30 min show each day, bit like Come Dine with Me, seemed very rushed in one episode.

namechangenumber2 · 12/03/2020 12:05

Me too @KurriKawari

BizarreBizarre · 12/03/2020 18:27

That was an odd show !

BigSandyBalls2015 · 15/03/2020 09:26

Just watching Shock, Christian is too laddish

KurriKawari · 15/03/2020 09:30

Christian has signed himself with an agent and seems like he wants to become a model/famous.

MrsJamin · 15/03/2020 13:45

Christian seemed like the absolute opposite to marriage material, I'm not surprised it didn't last. None of the others seemed any good either, though. Looking forward to the next trashy high quality episode.

KurriKawari · 15/03/2020 14:10

Yeah she had two kids, surprised she chose him. But I am not sure what the producers were thinking because all the men were so different and not well matched to her.

MrsJamin · 15/03/2020 14:14

They were different so they were easy to remember as we didn't have long to get to know them, they were "the quiet one", "the heartbroken one", "the singing one" etc. I think my favourite dating shows are First Dates and Flirty Dancing. Married at first sight is a great watch but doesn't seem to be very successful at actually matching people.

BizarreBizarre · 15/03/2020 16:52

I thought Scott was the most attractive but I did wonder about him getting his guitar out. Was he there for the exposure?

FizzyPink · 15/03/2020 20:43

All Christian has ever wanted is to be famous. He’s not had a great upbringing and so constantly seeks validation and attention from others and wants to be the best at everything.
He’s actually a nice guy and can be very sweet but comes across as a total asshole
