Al you idiot.

bellabelly · 19/03/2020 14:13

Oh my god - my DH talked to me at the wrong moment and I missed a crucial bit! So Jimmi's solicitor is actually the suicide boy's father - is taht right?

blamethecat · 19/03/2020 14:14

Well done raahh I couldn't place him !
Oooh a bit of actual drama, how exciting.

Hannie123 · 19/03/2020 14:17

@bellabelly yes that’s right! He has been setting Jimmibup for a fall

Better plot twist than I expected 😂

Raahh · 19/03/2020 14:19

It's actually a pretty good plot, for Doctors, if a bit long winded Grin.

NotYoonique · 19/03/2020 14:34

So to try and get this right... The boy who killed himself was getting counselling from Jimmi, but went to prison and killed himself and that boys dad has framed Jimmi and posed as his solicitor? Bit convoluted!

Raahh · 19/03/2020 14:37

Not

It would appear so. Grin

NotYoonique · 19/03/2020 14:40

I'm a bit quicker on the uptake than I thought then Grin
Though I was kind of hoping for a massive bombshell like it being Cherry!

Raahh · 19/03/2020 14:56

Now Cherry would have been funny!

I suppose in a way, it is only right that this endless boring Clink storyline has give Jimmi a starring role, in the 20th anniversary year. He is the longest standing character.

Now with the longest beard.

bellabelly · 19/03/2020 15:00

Thanks Hannie123! I think I remember the episode(s) where Jimmi was counselling the young man - he thought he was fantasist at first but then had to involve the police as it became apparent that the murder he kept talking about was real. They are really playing the long game with this storyline! Not like Doctors...

TDogsInHats · 19/03/2020 15:07

I thought the boy who was being counselled( confessed to murdering someone and putting them in the boot of a car) had a Scottish accent. His father the solicitor doesn't. Still, that's never mattered.
PS I might be confusing the plot line with Endeavour or somethingGrin

NotYoonique · 19/03/2020 15:26

Oh I remember him now! This is amazing continuity for a show that turned an older white girl into a mixed race toddler Grin

Hannie123 · 19/03/2020 15:40

@not haha! I know right? I thought it was something to do with Bear, so they did manage to surprise us, waited forever, but still 😅

Raahh · 19/03/2020 15:41

Not Grin

Yes, how they expected us not to notice that gem, is quite something Grin

Redshoeblueshoe · 19/03/2020 15:55

I did say his solicitor was shit right from the beginning.
I said he should change him because he was basically saying he was guilty

MadisonAvenue · 19/03/2020 15:56

Well! That was quite a twist!

blamethecat · 19/03/2020 16:25

Ok, now I am a bit wobbly at the mo with school/work but how did Jimmi end up with that particular solicitor ?Surely he chose his own he didn't just get assigned a duty solicitor did he ?
Anyway I might get more time to watch now as I have dropped a day at work to become the worlds worst teacher Grin

ExpletiveDelighted · 19/03/2020 16:41

Yes, duty solicitor. Bit of a coincidence!

Standrewsschool · 20/03/2020 04:14

Thought the actor who played Mark on wednesday’s programme acted well, and vaguely recognised him. Just looked him up. He was on The Voice, and was the singer who opened as Aladdin on the West End.

Raahh · 20/03/2020 08:14

Standrew-Thank you! I knew I recognised him, and the BBC website doesn't list all the cast anymore, and I couldn't quite place him. I thought he was very familiar.

Talking of The Voice, obviously the semi/final of that will be affected now, as it is live (I do watch all the good stuff Grin), so this weekends recorded show will be the last one.

Redshoeblueshoe · 20/03/2020 10:49

Raah it looks like they will postpone the opening of the new tramline. Mind you I expect the Trafford center is pretty quiet at the moment.
Regarding the duty solicitor they will know in advance which nights they are covering, but it's still a massive stretch that he would be guaranteed to pick it up. Also it's bloody ridiculous that Jimmi wouldn't have employed a really good solicitor when the duty one basically said that he knew he was guilty

Raahh · 20/03/2020 11:30

Red I'm not surprised about the tram. No-one will be wanting to go there- even to the new Primark. Selfridges announced they were closing their stores for now the other day.

I do think the Jimmi storyline line has turned out to be both inspired and far fetched at the same time.

Pretty standard for Doctors Grin.

Hannie123 · 20/03/2020 11:57

@Standrewsschool Oh thank you! I also thought he looked so familiar and it was bugging me! We saw the show for our anniversary a few years back and it was spectacular... ahh the good old days 😳

Redshoeblueshoe · 20/03/2020 13:46

I hope this gets resolved soon

ExpletiveDelighted · 20/03/2020 13:48

Val looks like a black-haired Theresa May.
