yes- it is good- the one with the dad?

TheQueenOfQuotes · 05/09/2007 13:18

is that the one about "SMA dads"....if so there was a big thread about it about 2 weeks ago (I haven't actually seen it)

i was very shocked at how young that babies looked. they must have been preemies if they were 6 months when the ad was shot.

Bewilderbeast · 05/09/2007 13:21

pass the popcorn (and the tin helmet)

Aitch · 05/09/2007 13:23

oh god i hate all this pass the popcorn shite. it's a nice ad, it makes you feel all warm and fuzzy, it's sweet, it Does Its Job.

but it is skirting despicably close the the letter of the law, and completely breaks the spirit of it.

prettybird · 05/09/2007 13:25

I did think when I saw it that those babies aren't 6 months old.

ProjectIcarusinhercar · 05/09/2007 13:54

i haven't seen it. But I am highly admiring of Custardo's start a ruck post.

Aitch · 05/09/2007 14:18

i've only seen it once, it absolutely is a brilliant ad. but as well.

ProjectIcarusinhercar · 05/09/2007 14:24

you don't think the babies could sit up for babyled weaning then ?

Aitch · 05/09/2007 14:31

seriously, just wait til you see the ad...

by the way have you seen the site recently? come and have a look, we've made some changes.

ProjectIcarusinhercar · 05/09/2007 14:48

I have not seen it. Will look later.

dressedupnowheretogo · 05/09/2007 14:57

i sat with my mouth open the whole time as did my dh he is becoming a bit bf militant recently

i quote 'ay dressedup thats not legal is it there not allowed to do that you should complain' and he followed that with 'oh they'll all be in a tizzy on mn about that'

he knows us so well

my mm said it made her cry and i said it made me feel sick

NormaStanleyFletcher · 05/09/2007 15:09

is it this one?

PhoenixSongbird · 05/09/2007 15:12

I must say it brought a tear to my eye . Was mildly indignant when I realised it was advertising SMA.

harpsichordcarrier · 05/09/2007 15:13

I think it is very well done indeed.
it also goes to show that the formula companies do not give a stuff about breaking the law because they think they can do so with impunity.
because it is clearly illegal

Aitch · 05/09/2007 15:25

norma, i couldn't get yours to work but anyone who wants to see it could also try this. select broadband at the bottom left hand corner and it will play without downloading it.

here

there is no fucking way that last child is 6 months. who do we write to?

(and yes, custy, i too like the advert.)

harpsichordcarrier · 05/09/2007 15:28

Advertising Standards Authority
www.asa.org.uk/asa/contact/

and then for an encore you can come outside with me and pee into the wind

NormaStanleyFletcher · 05/09/2007 15:30

I bet I can pee furthest into the wind!

I'm gonna complain

MyTwopenceworth · 05/09/2007 15:37

"For infant nutrition, trust the experts, SMA"

Message nicely slipped in there. I'm impressed.

kitsandbits · 05/09/2007 15:39

I thought it was an emotional bag of shit!

... but i welled up and tried not to let DP see! lol

MyTwopenceworth · 05/09/2007 15:40

I must be an unfeeling freak. The ad just annoyed me. I went "manipulative."

LaCod · 05/09/2007 15:41
