Just started watching this, loved Ep1 hate the start of Ep2 - is it worth pursuing?

Yes definitely, we ended up binging it.

TheWordmeister · 11/02/2020 21:17

It's increasingly silly, but worth a watch.

SouthWestmom · 11/02/2020 21:26

Ok will keep going. I'm just shocked at the JS bit, I'd be straight to the police

I’ve finished this today. I really enjoyed it.

pinkmoomin · 11/02/2020 21:30

Don’t waste your time I would say. Too many plot holes and some of the acting was bad.

Wish I could have the 8 hrs wasted watching this back.

JustPickleRick · 11/02/2020 21:31

Just finished it, it's very addictive! Binge-watched it over 3 nights 😅 I agree it's silly at times but I enjoyed it

SouthWestmom · 11/02/2020 21:37

Oh no! Plot holes are v annoying. However I'm loving the acting. Not sure about the decapitation I have to keep covering my eyes!

There was something the missing wife did that I didn't think was credible at all. Also why did the husband spend so much time lying? I also guessed two of the things that were big reveals. I binge watched it but felt oddly dissatisfied at the end.

Fleetheart · 11/02/2020 21:48

What was the decapitation bit? I really enjoyed the seriesI must say. I’m now watching Safe which is similar by the same author.

SouthWestmom · 11/02/2020 21:50

Begins with A? At the beginning?

Is the unlikely ex wife thing the website products? I'm just not sure why people would act like this

YesIDoLoveCrisps · 11/02/2020 21:55

Just finished it. It’s a bit OTT but good.

SouthWestmom · 11/02/2020 21:56

Oh no JS is alone and there's a man!

OP posts:
SouthWestmom · 11/02/2020 21:57

He's not real! This is terrible

Iminaglasscaseofemotion · 11/02/2020 22:00

I liked it. Certain parts were a bit unnecessary, and I found the end quite disappointing and disgusting. I think I need to go back and watch the last episode because something doesn't add up, but that could have just been me not taking in important information.

Fleetheart · 11/02/2020 22:01

Oh yes I know what you mean about decapitation now Smile; I found it all very watchable and tense I must say.

SouthWestmom · 11/02/2020 22:03

I've gone off it now. Got to the cafe bit with JS. It's a bit stupid. I was hoping it would be tense and a thriller not gory.
But I persevere.

BlueEyedFloozy · 11/02/2020 22:05

I watched it over the weekend. It was compelling but forgettable.

I still can't quite wrap my head around why/how they mashed 2 totally unrelated stories into 1 - totally pointless really.

SouthWestmom · 11/02/2020 22:08

I don't get why the dh is lying?

OP posts:
YappityYapYap · 11/02/2020 22:24

In my view, Corrine should have been working with her husbands sister and her friend and helping them with all the secrets because they were threatening to reveal her fake pregnancy but it wasn't a fake pregnancy, she was pregnant with Dante's child! Like she was being blackmailed into revealing secrets so the women could extort money but the reason for them doing it was something like one of their parents were dying and they needed the money for the care or one of them was dying and they needed the money for something like going abroad and getting treatment, something that they were desperate for money for instead of making them out to be horrible women that were psychos and poor Corrine was running around doing damage control after stupidly sleeping with Dante after discovering her husband's affair.

That's the end I was hoping for but the actual ending was shit. Nothing was linked. The stories never all tied into each other

SouthWestmom · 11/02/2020 22:26

Corinne had an affair with Dante?

OP posts:
DrinkSangriaInThePark · 11/02/2020 22:36

Yappity what???

Are you imagining all that it is that the storyline of the book?

SouthWestmom · 11/02/2020 22:38

I hope not! I think it's a preferred version? Although confused about the Dante/Corinne thing 😮

OP posts:
SouthWestmom · 11/02/2020 22:58

I've cracked. Tell me who the bent cop is?

OP posts:
DaveGrohlsMuse · 11/02/2020 23:06

We watched it over two nights and I loved it. It was utterly ridiculous, but I was actually impressed with the ending. Quite a few of the IMDB reviews complained about the ending, so I was pleasantly surprised.

amaryl · 11/02/2020 23:10

No-one has Dante’s baby!!

It was a bit much because there were so many bad people and they all cane together in this perfect bad storm.

The only bit that was stupid was Corinne refusing to talk to him about the fake pg. which started the whole thing.
