Just started watching this, loved Ep1 hate the start of Ep2 - is it worth pursuing?

There is a thread already over on Streamed Tv.

Oh I didn't think of streamed tv (not v technical). Not finished it am on EP 4 I think have been in a blur of weird baseball cap bent cop strange husband cake related fuzz

Episode 5 now. She's at the cinema ! Now she has a cat!

Hmmm...we watched it. Turned a bit silly in the end. ( no spoilers but ...) and far too many holes in the story and lots of untied loose ends

Fell asleep and woke up to it burbling away so restarted today (Ep6).

Something is wrong with her interviewing the family as it's obv not a great idea for he friends daughter to be talking to her about it.

Loved it. Was kind of disappointed by the ending as I have way too many questions but ultimately I don’t feel like I wasted my 8 hours!

I’m on episode 5 - can’t get over some of the really bad acting in it (the teens especially make me feel like I’m watching an episode of Tracey beaker!) The guy who plays the coppers estranged husband is a bad actor too and their relationship completely unbelievable. Also it’s too “perfect”. How do teachers afford to live in massive detached houses and drive range rovers (and all seemingly live on the same street)? It’s not ‘real’ or gritty enough - there’s something very fake about it. Agree the fake pregnancy thing is ridiculous.
Jennifer Saunders is the best thing in it and she didn’t last long at all!

Yes! Watch it!! You wont be disappointed. I also like Locke & Key which had abit of a supernatural Stranger Things vibe.
My rule of thumb..give it until episode 3 and then you'll know.

I love their big houses. Even though it is fake it is fun. There is another one called Safe which is similar - and similarly unrealistic (which I am enjoying immensely)

Well I've finished it. What is it that makes something stupid fun rather than serious drama?

@Fleetheart yes the houses are huge and so amazingly decorated. I'd have the interior designer they use to dec me out a house anyway! I love how they all have such fantastic houses when I dont think even their salaries would afford them! I love abit of a unrealistic Netflix series!

Or any day but anyway it's so unrealistic and cheesy it's good.
