I dont think its David Essex, he has such a distinctive voice. Saw him a in War of the worlds a couple of years back and he still sounds great

Why would Octopus be faking an American accent though - wouldn't that defeat the whole object?
One of the clues was she shook on a record breaking deal wasn't it - who would that fit with?

The American accent seemed muted on Saturday.
Am I imagining it but didn’t Octupus say she had to practice the accent ?

Because her normal accent would give her away Katherine Jenkins has a welsh accent as dies Charlotte church. Leslie Garret (who I don't think fits the clues) has a Yorkshire accent, if they spoke in their normal voices we would have had this narrowed down weeks a go.

As for the record breaking deal it's hard to say with out knowing what record was broken but Katherine Jenkins signed the biggest deal in classical music $10 million to break America so it would fit her but I'm sure the others have signed bid deals to. Personally I think it's got to be an opera singer and Katherine Jenkins best fits the clues the apprentice, the dales ect but I wouldn't rule Charlotte Church out it's between them for me.

Yes, Michael Ball as Sweeney was actually the one who killed Jason Manford as Pirelli every night at 8.30pm.

Katherine Jenkins does fit very well. She used to model and was a tour guide in London. Also she's made cameo apperances in Emmerdale and Jason Donovan was her first crush.

I've missed loads of the threads but has anyone mentioned that Jason Manford had a job in Burger King but walked out after a day and a half.

Zoe Ball suggested Jasper Carrott and Keith Allen fir Hedgehog this morning.

Someone on tv suggested that the hedgehog is Tony Hadley of Spandau Ballet

I think it came from Jake Shears he said he heard him singing in his dressing room or something and thought it sounded like Tony Hadley

Skin is on Loose Women talking about how difficult it was to sing and how it affected her vocal performance certainly at the beginning.

Think the queen bee may be Jennifer Lawrence, the clue singing ‘girl on fire’ that’s what she was known as in hunger games. She’s an activist for women’s rights, and I think after her photos got leaked online laws were changed regarding certain types of photos and distributing. Think the accent could be fake as it’s gone from geordie to scouse. I think Jennifer Lawrence might be the sort of person that would do this.

Keith Allen for hedgehog is interesting. Isn’t one of his clues that his daughter is more famous than him?

I don’t think J Carrot would be able to hide the brummie twang for this long

Keith Allen doesn't have that Northern/ Welsh accent that keeps slipping out and I don't think he can sing...?

Also, he is short : hedgehog's height is hard to gauge but he doesn't look a short stop.

Keith Allen's daughter Lily Allen is arguably more famous or than him or at least she was for a while but I think that depends on your perspective....I have only heard him singing/shouting the song vindaloo and it doesn't sound like he can sing 😂

Has anyone considered Colm Wilkinson for hedgehog. He's Irish and has played Judas before... would he die around 8:30? Too early?

He's a fabulous singer but must be mid 70s now so would explain the not-being-the-greatest-on- this thing.

He might not fit some clues though.

I've just gone down the Colm Wilkinson YouTube rabbit hole. He can still sing. How he's seemingly less famous than Ball, Boe etc I'll never know. His valjean was just incredible.

Theres a story about the first time the cast of les miserables heard him sing Bring Him Home.
