Just spotted this on Netflix today with Richard Armitage, trailer looks good, I'm going to start it later on, 8 episodes so not too long.

The hotel scene was filmed in Grand Bar in Manchester centre (gorgeous place) and some of it was just outside Ancoats too. I really enjoyed it. Plenty of twists and turns.

I’m on episode 4

Better than Safe IMHO

Deliberately posting on this thread and not the other as haven't finished this series. Watched 3 eps after much endorsement by DH and am hooked.

Fairly sure the street where the retired cop client lives is Liverpool, Toxteth or Granby.

They also filmed Adam's dad leaving office in the scene where The Stranger follows him in Spinningfields. You can see 3 Hardman Sq written on the glass revolving door and The Ivy in the background.

Finished it yesterday.

It being adapted from a US book makes sense of the kids driving, I meran I know they could be in VI form but the way they talked about being 'in maths' came across as younger.

I loved it but I'm not sure about the end, surely someone would have seen two men driving off together.

Also only 6 months and the trial is over, that's very quick.

But I loved the rest of it.

Richard Armitafe has never been on my radar before !!

Where have you been?

Spooks, Robin Hood (clad head to toe in leather). The last few episodes of the Vicar of Dibley.

I thought Richard armatidge was a terrible actor in this. Overall I enjoyed the series immensely. I loved the diversity of casting too.

I didn’t know who Richard Armitage was before this 3 either!

Didn’t notice Spinningfields. Tempted to find that bit and watch back as I can be a geek about filming locations

MrsSiba · 23/02/2020 00:06

@BunnytheBee it's at the very start of ep4, before the opening credits 🤓

BunnytheBee · 23/02/2020 19:26

Thanks! @MrsSiba 🤓

The kids are supposed to be in Year 13! So yes driving at 17 and still being a minor is possible.
