Just spotted this on Netflix today with Richard Armitage, trailer looks good, I'm going to start it later on, 8 episodes so not too long.

OP posts:

Just finishing this now

SO similar to Safe though, in terms of characters and the way its all laid out, in some ways down to the ending...

A bit far fetched

Councilworker · 02/02/2020 00:24

Just watched the first 2 episodes. Played spot the location with DH. School is Bolton School and the cafe is a real cafe owned by Yvette Fielding that is next to Manchester Cathedral.

There seems to be a lot of strands to be interlinked

Bobsandbitz · 02/02/2020 07:47

Finished it last night. Good, but very much like the other two - Safe and Five (was on Sky a couple of years back). If you've seen the other two, you won't be surprised by the ending. I've never read Harlan Coben's books, but wonder if they're all the same - it's like it follows a pattern! Grin
Enjoyable though, good mystery element, lovely locations, beautiful houses. Worth a watch if you have time! Also, I suggest watching Five on Sky if it's still available and you haven't already - that was really good too.

On ep 5 of this. Really enjoying it!
Not seen any of the other Harlen Coben adaptations though

TamiTaylor · 02/02/2020 14:13

The actor who plays the police officer Wes was on stage in Guys and a Dolls recently- he was smouldering hot in that!!

TamiTaylor · 02/02/2020 14:13

@Councilworker do you know where the viaduct is?

vjg13 · 02/02/2020 19:56

Just me that thought it was pretty crap then!

Kit30 · 02/02/2020 21:27

Absolute hokum but great for location spotting- Stockport market and town centre, Bolton school, Didsbury Park houses ..

Kit30 · 02/02/2020 21:52

Could it be Martholme Viaduct TamiTaylor ?

TamiTaylor · 02/02/2020 22:51

Thanks @Kit30 !

I agree - thought it was fun hokum and loved the locations.

MummyNWife · 02/02/2020 22:54

Just finished it, started it last night. Really enjoy things like that :)

MrsAJ27 · 03/02/2020 06:18

Watch the whole lot yesterday and loved it.

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 03/02/2020 10:46

Kit30 - just out of idle curiosity, how do you pronounce Martholme? Is it mart home or marth ome?

peachescariad · 03/02/2020 10:52

Watched it all but unless I'm being really dumb here, I still don't know why Corinne faked the pregnancy? Please can anyone fill me in!

Pinkflipflop85 · 03/02/2020 10:58

Didn't she fake it so that her husband would stay with her?

Shookethtothecore · 03/02/2020 11:00

Is it scary? I hate scary things but it looks good

coconuttelegraph · 03/02/2020 12:09

Didn't she fake it so that her husband would stay with her?

I think it's covered in the first episode, she didn't want him to leave

MovinOnUp · 03/02/2020 12:18

I really enjoyed it and was delighted to hear my absolute favourite band on the opening credits :)

BrieAndChilli · 03/02/2020 13:27

I’m on episode threee and really enjoying it. Haven’t seen any of the other stuff so have no idea where it’s all leading to and how it’s going to end!
Richard Armitafe has never been on my radar before !!

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 03/02/2020 13:51

Not scary @shookethtothecore

Standard UK crime drama on a par with ITVs output.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 03/02/2020 13:52

Rectify this forever with North And South on Netflix @BrieAndChilli drop dead gorgeous in it

Kit30 · 03/02/2020 16:10

BlackAnericano I'm not local (Cheshire not Lancashire) no idea on pronunciation:,I'd even hazard a guess at 'Marthum' .

moonsnake · 03/02/2020 16:43

I thought it was ok, started well but ended up becoming predictable.

Shookethtothecore · 03/02/2020 18:14

@EineReiseDurchDieZeit thank you I’ll give it a go. I’m finding so much stuff out now is scary and I have to get up through the night for the babies night feeds and it’s not worth the anxiety 😂

CatherineCawood · 03/02/2020 21:23

Finished it. Loved it. I must be thick, because it wasnt predictable to me at all.
