I think I watch far too much Eastenders Grin

Chienloup · 15/02/2020 00:38

Surely the fact that he was in her house is enough for the police to believe her that she was acting in self-defence. Plus they'll find good hideaway in the loft space.
I wonder if the whole of next week will take place over one day on the boat?

I love the fact that Phil has someone he can call up and request 100 grand from with a ten-minute deadline. Brilliantly ridiculous!

PattiPrice · 15/02/2020 01:25

TIFF was living there because Whit lived there. It made more sense for Tiff to live with Sonia, because Sonia is her real aunt
Tiff moved to Sonia’s after the Evie thing as she decided that Tiff needed to be ‘looked after properly’. Then Bianca came and went and stayed there too.

Whit lived in the Vic but had to move out after her flirtation with Mick and then moved in with the Slaters, moved to the undertakers flat and then went to Sonia when the wedding was called off.

I did not like tonight’s episode. Apart from the knife scene that I didn’t watch, I really dislike scenes such as Whit being locked in and running from the front to the back door unable to escape. It makes me feel very anxious and I don’t find it ‘entertaining’ at all.

cherrytree63 · 15/02/2020 07:52

How come it took a week for Whit to notice the plaster dust on her bed?

The80sweregreat · 15/02/2020 08:57

It would take my dh and myself two seconds to notice plaster dust in our bedroom. He has eagle eyes for mess and would also notice the hole in the ceiling straight away as well! Mind you, we don't live in a state of stress and worry and constant moving around as Whit does so maybe this is why she doesn't notice things? She still manages to take letters with her from years ago though despite this nomadic lifestyle.
Dh said that she'll try to hide the body or get mick or kat involved , but i am hoping that common sense prevails and calls the police and it's all dealt with properly! Let's hope so.

I'm not convinced that the money is what Phil has called up for. I think he's called in Muscle.

will she do the normal thing & call the police

She called 999 from the kitchen when Leo had hit his head on the table. If the call was connected and remained open, the police would be on their way as the operator would have heard everything. I don't know whether she got through or not though.

EmeraldShamrock · 15/02/2020 10:19

Whitney has gone through the mill in Eastenders. She is a great a actress and doesn't get recognition. How will they return from this poor Whitney, it's a classic example of a young girl who grew out without stability looking for love.

Mrsjayy · 15/02/2020 10:25

Whitney is 26 at most the girls had such a terrible life.

The80sweregreat · 15/02/2020 11:17

This takes the murder toll on the square to ... no idea but it's a lot!

SoupDragon · 15/02/2020 11:40

I think lots of the EE actors are actually good. I didn't rate Linda much until this alcoholism storyline. Usually they just get stuck in their character's usual behaviour so you don't get to see what the actor can do.

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/02/2020 14:37

Do we know if Leo is dead

Yes elf defence bit Whitney doesn’t need this as well

Better if police arriveAnd he’s alive and goes away for a very long time

I thought the same.

I think a lot of their acting is pretty bad. Remember the old Ben kicking the bin in temper. He was a terrible actor. Lee, Woody, wasn’t good either. The sisters are poor actors. I don’t rate Denise very much either. Or Patrick’s newest wife. It always seems hammed up. Kathy is poor too.

Then along comes a decent storyline and they either sink or swim. The good ones show up the bad ones even more. Like Ben, Ian, Grey, Babe, Abi.

Then there are the ones who are almost caricatures of their characters - Phil, Sharon, Mick, Shirley, Kim. The old EE reliables that we complain about but they make us laugh too.

Antihop · 17/02/2020 18:40

I think that whitney's phone was connected to 999 so they would have heard it all. There's no way she'd be able to cover up and hide the body if the operator was on the line.

iknowimcoming · 17/02/2020 18:50

I too hope Leo is dead dead and it will be a relatively simple case of self defence and poor Witney can get some peace finally. Quite excited for this week, although I presume it will have to be sensitively done, the first time the boat party was mentioned I thought of the marchioness disaster, although I am old and it was a long time ago Sad

Mrsjayy · 17/02/2020 18:54

Leo is like the baddie from terminator he will never truly die Grin of course Whitney isn't going to phone the police she will drag him down the allotements or something !

The80sweregreat · 17/02/2020 19:20

I also thought about the Marchioness and the Kent ferry disaster when I heard it was going to be set on a boat for the 35th anniversary episodes. I know it's only a drama and not true , but there are people who remember these things happening or were affected by it.
Ian Kathy and Tracey are on the 'one show'
I was only 19 when it started. Happy days!

meow1989 · 17/02/2020 20:00

Strong start

SheepSocks · 17/02/2020 20:10

Hmmm Tina's outfit looks a lot like what Linda would wear, is there a reason why?

JuanSheetIsPlenty · 17/02/2020 20:23

I was wondering why Tina’s outfit was so weird. She is a bit quirky though with her dress sense but it is quite Linda like.

JuanSheetIsPlenty · 17/02/2020 20:28

Linda bobbing about attached by the ankle looks very silly.

Why have they chosen to replicate titanic? Is there a connection?

Jellykat · 17/02/2020 20:32

Ridiculous, have they hit an iceberg on the Thames?

Plus the gap down the right hand side of that stainless steel shelf is wider than the top, so all they had to do was take Lindas shoe off and slide her foot along to the right.. just saying..Grin

The80sweregreat · 17/02/2020 20:34

It was well done and Linda did look very scared.
I'd thought they would have done a lifeboat drill before setting off though? Don't know about party boats though. Been years and years since I went on one. Shame this one isn't going well!

JuanSheetIsPlenty · 17/02/2020 20:40

There was a bang before the collision and someone said it sounded like a gunshot. We haven’t seen Whitney since before that. I’m wondering if she found a gun of some sort and tried to kill herself? The captain was injured like there’d been a struggle. Perhaps he tried to stop her? I’m just pure guessing here.

woodhill · 17/02/2020 20:40

How did Leo get in and out of the loft. I was a bit confused. At Dot's isn't it just a hatch and loft ladder

iknowimcoming · 17/02/2020 20:42

I'm a bit confused about who Phil is planning to shoot on the boat? Ken isn't there! Confused
