I think Mackenzie's storyline started too far into her journey so we didnt see her as a boy, the impact that that had on her, a slow transition etc. She mentioned having counselling at least (because she recommended them to Suze!). I think hearing the diary entries helped to fill some of the gaps. I find surgery at such a young age problematic for the reasons given by PPs, I would prefer it not to happen until at least 21. But I'm not transgender and have no idea how it is to feel that way. I feel really conflicted by the whole issue. At the end of the day I believe people should be able to do with they like (within the law obviously) to make themselves happy. I wish that it didnt take something as extreme as surgery to do that as you can't go back and many teenagers don't have a clue about who they are and what choices will make them happy long term at that age.

Agree watching the Paul/Gary digs was comical but it's not working the same with Pierce. He just comes across a bit of a tosser. And the whole Courtney Act was just cringe.

I'm not a fan of Jane so hoping her being shoehorned in doesn't mean another visit ahead...

Paul's still in it, and yesterday we saw Jane, who mentioned Des, who popped up earlier in the year for their 35th anniversary stuff. And Karl and Susan and Toadie must have been around since only a little time after you last saw it. So it hasn't changed as much as you think....

The school year starts at the beginning of the year, well, end of January.
First term ends, they usually tie it in with Easter. 2 weeks holidays
2nd term goes from usually end of April till end of June then 2 weeks holiday in July.
3rd term is Mid July to September Then 2 weeks holiday.
End of school year is week or so before Xmas. They then get 6 weeks holiday, end of year, summer.
