I am not going to get chance to watch much more of this so this was a bit of a quick one...

He couldn't wait Fizzy Grin

JaneJeffer · 24/01/2020 13:54

Poor Milkman was telling himself to be brave near the end of the match.

JaneJeffer · 24/01/2020 13:56

Let the man go and have a shower FFS!

BGD2012 · 24/01/2020 14:40

Who does Federer have next?

JaneJeffer · 24/01/2020 14:43

Marton Fucsovics

BGD2012 · 24/01/2020 14:53

He has had a good draw. Djokovic in the semis I think?

JaneJeffer · 24/01/2020 14:56

He has to get past Our Fabio first!

Raahh · 24/01/2020 15:46

Jane I was thinking that- of course, Foggy has to beat Sandgren, but we will gloss over that Grin.

Millman will be cursing throwing away that 4 point lead.

So, I won't get to see Rafa tomorrow as he has been scheduled last in the afternoon, which is annoying.

It might mean I will get some stuf done in the morning, as ,as much as I want Dick to get beaten by Karen, I'm not sure I want to watch it.

Although I do quite fancy the Verdasco/Zverev match- it's another one where Sascha might find himself very vulnerable to a loss.

It won't be on tv though. They will be showing Kyrgios(obviously) and the Medvedev match, because he is playing Popyrin. Or skiing.

Grin

StanBear is playing Isner.

Come on Stan!!

I've not had time to watch matches yet. Has Nadal played well?

Raahh · 24/01/2020 16:11

BD he played OK, against Delbonis, but Delbonis played far better than I've seen him play before against him. As usual, it can be down to how Rafa's serve is performing- and the conditons were a lot colder than he had been used to.

BGD sorry.

(He still got quite sweaty though)Grin

It was good to see him play though- since his other match was in the afternoon, and tomorrow will be too.

How did the marmalade turn out magi? I've had a mad run around to catch up with my cleaning.

Raahh · 24/01/2020 16:54

I didn't get chance to watch Doctors, almost as soon as the match ended, I got two phone calls, and then some idiot in a van parked across my back gates blocking me in (which made the dog go nuts) so I had to go and get him to move so I could go out.

PrivateSpidey · 24/01/2020 17:13

No Doctors?! Shock Unacceptable! Grin

I hope Stan beats Isner. That's in the middle of the night as well. I might try and stay up for Gulbis (Grin words I never thought I'd say) as I think it's the second match on after a doubles match, so it might not be too late. Maybe.

Raahh · 24/01/2020 17:17

Come on Ernie!

Maybe it's Ernie's year! Grin

Thanks Raahh. I'd like to see Rafa hit 20 GS but someone will need to knock Djokovic out to help him win this one.

Raahh · 24/01/2020 17:22

BGDI know. I'd love Rafa to get his second AO, shut up the detractors who are sneery that he only has one Hmm, and get to 20 slams in the process.

Looking at the draw, I don't know who can beat Djok though, because I'm not sure Fed can. But he might have a bad day Grin.

OP posts:
PrivateSpidey · 24/01/2020 17:26

I agree with that BGD. I can't really see Rafa beating him here.

PrivateSpidey · 24/01/2020 17:35

I think Medvedev could beat Djok - but to do that he'd have to beat Rafa first (I think? I can't see the saw properly on my phone screen)!

PrivateSpidey · 24/01/2020 17:36

Oops posted too soon. So I don't know if he could beat Rafa and then Djok as well. Seems unlikely that anyone could do that, tbh.

BGD2012 · 24/01/2020 18:28

I have a sneaky feeling about Medvedev too and I think he has beaten Djokovic a few times. When Djokovic wants it he just seems unbeatable though. I thought Federer had him in the Wimbledon final but Djokovic wins the points that count.

Raahh · 24/01/2020 18:53

If Medvedev can play how he was doing in his run up to the US open, who knows what might happen. He has gone off the boil a bit. I didn't see it, but by all accounts his match against Djok at the ATP cup (which Djok won) was a really good match, though.

OP posts:
Raahh · 24/01/2020 18:56

But none of that matters- because I think Daniil is in Rafa's half of the draw!
