TENNIS THREAD- Australian Open continues- we're ready for the popcorn matches!

I am not going to get chance to watch much more of this so this was a bit of a quick one...

I'm confusing myself now. It's been a long week.

I'm looking forward to Nadal and Kyrgios if both get to round 4!

Oh no- because - as a Rafa fan , the commentators will be awful . Wimbledon was like a boxing match.

I would be happy with Rafa beating Kyrgios but I don’t think it would be an enjoyable match. I really didn’t enjoy their Wimbledon match and the commentators (hopefully not Frew MacMillan) would just be ramping the whole rivalry up. Kyrgios would be doing underarm serves and generally being disrespectful towards Rafa - I just couldn’t bear it!

I’m just hoping that Khachanov will do the job tomorrow against Kyrgios.

However, coverage doesn't even start until midnight, and I've already got that thing I always get when I'm supposed to stay up late, I feel like it takes ages to reach the designated time (eg midnight on new year's eve) and I always feel knackered by about 10pm, even though on a normal night I annoy myself by staying awake until about 1am

And in any case... What are the chances they'll actually show that match anyway?!

I think Khachanov should beat Kyrgios, they've only played once before and Khachanov won. Fingers crossed.

Hey we're marmalade twins because I've also got lime marmalade at the moment - it was part of my Christmas present so it's nearly run out.

Just watching Kerber v Giorgi. I was quite looking forward to this, so this should pass the time while I wait for them not to show Ernie.

I stayed up watching Lady Macbeth which was very dark but enjoyable because the lead actress was so good. I'm not going to put the tennis on otherwise I'll stay up all night.

Just woken up and checked the tennis and then looked at weather forecast for Melbourne.

It's due to be 22 degrees Celsius maximum on Monday. And then 40 degrees by that Friday!

Crazy!

I managed to stay up until the Gulbis match started, but Eurosport were still showing the two main courts, so I gave up. Looks like it was a decent contest, at first especially, but Monfils went through.

I've just been watching Stan and he's ahead v Isner - but I have to go out soon.

I can't believe those temps tobee! At least by Friday there shouldn't be too many matches to play, so hopefully they can all be under the roof(s)!

Also Delpo is out of Delray Beach now I really am worried.
