I am not going to get chance to watch much more of this so this was a bit of a quick one...

Aw I still like Dom. I was laughing at what you said about his shorts kazza.

We saw him play Djok in the WTFs a couple of years ago and my sister was having conniptions over his shorts even back then, especially when he was receiving serve as she was so worried they would split!!

I do like Dom- he was on my 'one to watch' list for years, so I am happy to see him do well- it's just that it is usually at the expense of Rafa! (understandable, but annoying).

I wonder if tomorrow will be anything like the Wimbledon final. In the end, despite myself, I wanted Djok to win. Tomorrow, I'm the opposite. Surely Fed has to be feeling a bit tired? Plus he was injured. But then, Djok also had eye problems.

They might knock each other out. .

I might be wrong but I think Djok seems more troubled by the younger gen than Nadal or Federer. His record isn't wonderful against the next gen but then it probably includes a lot of matches when he was 'distracted'. He doesn't seem as consistently ruthless as he did 4/5 years ago. He does seem focused this week though.

I think when Djok is on form he's not bothered by anyone. The only thing that seems to get to him is the crowd supporting his opponent.

Just watching the highlights - Domi’s shorts are rather tight

He does look as if he’s going to start singing 99 Red Balloons Jane and doing a bit of 80s dancing

I’d prefer Rog to win over Djok but I agree BGD he does seem very focussed - it will be interesting to see how Djok does against Zverev or Thiem if he gets to the final.

I'm so tired now. I didn't sleep much last night. By bedtime I'll be wide awake again.

BGD no, he hasn't really had the opportunity to play them as often, it seems. And yes, he lost to more of them in his 'slump' era'. I mean, there would be no losing to Cecchinato nowadays.

The same year, he lost to Klizan in Barcelona, iirc. Infact, he had some terrible results across many tournaments.

Then he beat Rafa at Wimbledon, and a switch seemed to be flicked.

Oh, for a return to the slump era .

If Domi wins as much as Roger his mother is going to run out of space.

Wasn't there a picture of Dom the other year in a leather jacket (a very dated leather jacket).

When he is pictured with 'the adults (i.e Fed /Rafa etc) he always looks really young and out of place- like the Laver Cup team photo .

Poor Dom- I'm sure he's lovely- but he needs a stylist. . Benoit should have a word. Although maybe not, his hair has been all sorts of colours, but he carries it off. .
