Well, what a turnip!

I was awake earlier and Fed was in troubel, then the app on my phone stopped working. I got up when it went to a 4th set- Sandgren has just had match point.

Sandgren has lost about 6 match points now. And it's gone to a 5th set.

Fed will not be happy.

Not sure how Sandgren's knee is holding together.

Talking of which, saw a picture of Delpo on FB after his surgery. He looked very smiley- his leg looked really long. Which it probably is. .

Blimey was surprised to see that the Federer match was still going on - Fed’s just won the fourth set.

He did say to Mac that he’d never played Tennys before

Sounds as if this match has everything- Rog swearing (in Swiss!), a ball boy running into Sandgren, Rog being injured and having some magic cream rubbed into his thigh

Ahh, the magic cream. Now, did he have to go off court to have the magic cream put on- because that is usually how Fed manages to turn around matches he is losing.

Oh heck- he has broken.

I kind of want Sandgren to win .

He won't like being pushed to 5 sets again, and if he ends up on the semi final with Djok , he will have to play much better.

I just saw the end and Fed looked like he was moving normally etc but they said he looked injured earlier in the match.

They are just saying on R5 that Ash Barty is the first Aussie woman in the semifinal here since Wendy Turnbull - haven't heard that name in ages!!

Just taken dd1 to school. We have sleet. It hate it. Looking at Barty being interviewed, it looks much nicer in Melbourne. .

I do like Ash. I love Petra, I would have loved Kvitova to win another tournament, but I do like Ash too.

Yes it's looking nice in Melbourne. Am pleased for Ash as well, although I do like Petra - shame they had to play each other at this stage. Hope Petra will win another Slam one day.

We’ve got a light covering of snow here . It looks very cold and icy - I think today is a day for staying indoors. Pity it’s the Djok match - I’m not sure that Milos has much chance against him - I think I’ll just dip in and out.

I’ll be out tomorrow when the Rafa/Thiem match is on

The Tennis Podcast has annoyed me by just constantly talking about Kyrgios - has such a lowly ranked player who has only won a handful of tournaments ever been talked about so much?

Goran is on supposedly spilling the beans about Djok but I’ve not got to that bit yet - can’t wait!

I always had a soft spot for Wendy as she won a tournament in Liverpool (some time in the 70s) and a few years later, my auntie and uncle had their wedding reception at that same tennis club, and Wendy's name was on the champions' roll of honour! Loved that in my tennis-starved youth!!

I am trying to get enthused about this match. I really want Milos to cause an upset. But it is looking unlikely.
