Could Manford do a posh accent like that ? He’s very Northern

Piggywaspushed · 28/01/2020 17:54

I reckon he probably could. I am sure at least two of them are disguising accents. I still feel, instinctively, that it isn't Manford , but can see a lot of the clues stack up.

OP posts:
Chipstick10 · 28/01/2020 18:03

I don’t think it’s Manford.

itswinetime · 28/01/2020 18:34

I'm sure I have heard manford be posh before and it's quite similar to hedgehogs...in that you know it's fake IYSWIM. But I can't find any proof.

The only think that puts me off manford for hedgehog is he has full on denied it twice and I'm not sure he would do that if it was him he still fits all the clues best though.

Chipstick10 · 28/01/2020 18:47

I don’t know why but I get the impression that hedgehog is older than Manford

RapidRainbow · 28/01/2020 19:02

@juniperlily

RE Melinda Messenger and working in dangerous locations... wasn't she the host of that island game show where there were loads of tigers and snakes?

Yes Fort Boyard, I didn't add it on the list because I don't remember the actual tasks, just her running around looking incredible!

wowfudge · 28/01/2020 20:31

Michael Ball sings with quite a bit of vibrato these days - I don't think he is Hedgehog. And yes I have heard AA sing or wouldn't think it could be him!

By the way, Kerry Ellis does charity work for the Born Free Foundation and sings Diamonds are Forever on an album.

Piggywaspushed · 28/01/2020 20:54

Apologies, I just thought you might have read he was a baritone bass. I don't think it's either of them to be honest!

OP posts:
Piggywaspushed · 28/01/2020 20:55

I don't think Kerry Ellis is a 'household name'. But that doesn't preclude her. Is she not a much better singer than Octopus?

OP posts:
wowfudge · 28/01/2020 21:50

I'm convinced it's her. Octopus has a very stagey voice. She and Queen Bee are the best singers. I'm not sure Queen Bee is Nicola Roberts tbh - sounds more like Una Healy to me. DP has just said he thinks she is Leona Lewis.

I've been watching a YouTube compilation of all the songs in order (sad, but true). I've just seen Monster sing Don't Cha and heard something of Gary Barlow briefly ! Everyone is convinced it's Cee Lo Green.

Piggywaspushed · 28/01/2020 21:51

Gary isn't a granddad, though...

OP posts:
Morgan12 · 28/01/2020 21:53

Queen Bee is Nicola Roberts.

She got famous very young.
She helped pass a law.
She was banging a drum in her VT.

Can't remember the rest of the clues.

AppleJane · 29/01/2020 09:05

I've not been following the clues closely.

Can anyone say if the clues for The Fox would fit Anita Dobson?

PunishmentSnart · 29/01/2020 09:36

Bee is Nicola- 100%.

Not just the clues but it’s her voice completely - talking and singing.

Some of the clues are doing my head in though, I think they’re adding some to make them seem like big names to get the viewers in but they’re really loosely linked to the ‘celeb’

itswinetime · 29/01/2020 16:22

Updated link to all the clues so far

all the clues

I don't think it includes the visual clues in the vts but it's a start for those that want to check their guesses.

FranticPleaseHelp · 29/01/2020 17:02

I've not RTFT but was listening to 'Royal' by Lorde and she sings "I could be queen bee"
🤔

CooCooCoo · 29/01/2020 22:57

Can anyone say if the clues for The Fox would fit Anita Dobson?

It’s Denise van Outen. 100%

SisterAgathaVanHelsing · 30/01/2020 07:04

Dobson talks posh. DVO and Fox have a Londonish accent.

AppleJane · 30/01/2020 08:51

Dobson talks posh
She was in Eastenders as Angie and didn't sound posh then! Smile

But I'm leaning towards DvO now.

Triglesoffy · 31/01/2020 08:21

I am convinced that the Hedgehog is Jimmy Carr but the clues don’t stack up.

You don’t think “tenor”means “tenner” and his IRS issues, do you?

Piggywaspushed · 31/01/2020 11:04

Haha no!

I do think this is the type of programme Jimmy would mock and sneer at : I doubt he'd be game, actually!

I can't actually remember the tenner/tenor pun now...

OP posts:
itswinetime · 31/01/2020 14:15

Wasn't it something like

Look at this photo frame it cost me a tenner/tenor or something similar?

Piggywaspushed · 31/01/2020 16:44

Oh , yes that was it. Then we saw Billy Connolly.

OP posts:
itswinetime · 31/01/2020 21:33

Any one wanting to swat up before tomorrow the masked singe on you tube has put together all the clues and vt

here

It's right down the bottom of the page

ChicCroissant · 31/01/2020 21:38

We've just been watching a Top of the Pops from 1989 with Michael Ball on, DD is convinced he is hedgehog now.

Double elimination tomorrow night, so we'll find out if we are right or how wrong, in my case the guesses are.
