interesting doc on BBC2 now

MercedesDeMonteChristo · 03/01/2020 22:38

That was definitely the weakest episode, but overall I still loved it.

The sun etc were things that have built up into a legend that even he believed.

AutumnRose1 · 03/01/2020 22:38

That ending was absolutely beautiful.

Disliked much of the rest, sadly! The bits that were great were really great.

Jellykat · 03/01/2020 22:39

I reckon loads of SAD lamps Receptacle ..

ReceptacleForTheRespectable · 03/01/2020 22:39

He said "after all this time, do you think I would let it [death] hurt?"

CaveMum · 03/01/2020 22:39

Not a big fan of that.

Now watching the Mark Gatiss documentary on BBC2.

ReceptacleForTheRespectable · 03/01/2020 22:41

Basically feeding off her have her a nice dream (of having sex with him it looked like) GrinGrin

He also wanted to die - he was actively choosing it.

SnorkMaiden81 · 03/01/2020 22:43

I'm not sold on the ending, or the final episode but frankly I'd watch Claes Bang feast on broccoli for 90 mins, so...you know...

jaggynettle · 03/01/2020 22:43

Taken from Twitter 🤣 what a load of rubbish, it started off so well...🧛‍♂️

I found the change to modern day quite jarring and over all didn't like this episode as much as the others but did still enjoy it and loved the ending which I thought was v romantic. Sad there won't be any more though Sad

covetingthepreciousthings · 03/01/2020 22:47

For anyone whose read Bram Stokers Dracula... is it worth reading? I'm tempted to give it a go now.

CaveMum · 03/01/2020 22:47

2-1-3 my order of preference on the episodes. I’d much rather that Dracula had gone on a massive bloody bender in modern day London and taken out the inevitable Twilight fan-fic groupies along the way. A bit like the Buffy episode “Lie to Me”.

dementedma · 03/01/2020 22:48

Weird episode.
Loved the humour - “Who gave him the WiFI password?”
But the rest was pretty dull and nowhere near as good as previous episodes. A very odd ending too. Bit disappointed overall

Yes actually, now you've said it..

MercedesDeMonteChristo · 03/01/2020 22:49

The book imo is definitely worth a read. I loved it and think I will have to reread now, it’s been years.

CaveMum · 03/01/2020 22:50

@covetingthepreciousthings you can download it for free onto a tablet as it is out of copyright, that’s what I did a few years ago having attempted to read it a very long time ago and given up.

From memory it’s not the greatest book ever written, starts off really well then goes meandering off in a vague fashion. Worth a read though.
