Is keanu dead - is Martin a killer - I don’t think so

Will karen let it go or keep asking Phil

Who will dissapeer soon for 4/6w as he’s in my local panto as the villain

Will gray be found out as an abuser - karen and Mitch must be able to see

What is Linda’s secret and her drinking

Will billy and honey get back together

Will Alfie ever be back - will cherry’s mum come back

Will STACEY ever come back

And as we have had deaths the past 3yrs on ee - ray (18) Abbie (17) - ROXY and Ronnie (16)

Who will die tonight ?

The phone thing : the van thing with Linda ( why did she get in a van ? I know she was drunk etc but why?) how did she get in it?
Where was the hospital that Keanu would go to that ' wouldn't ask any questions about a gun shot'? I'll just walk around with an open wound in broad daylight.
I'm pleased Martin didn't go through with it but it's very complicated now Linda is in the mix!

I don't think it was locked. Wasn't there some faffing about with the door? I wonder if it was unlocked, Ken locked it when trying to unlock it and then actually unlocked it. I'm not sure though,
I might be imagining it.

You can't get anything replaced without a birth certificate or ID etc etc and all Ken has is someone else's phone and a gun shot wound!
Only on a soap do people wander off into the abyss and not spoken off again!
If only life were that simple eh?

I'm confused as to how Linda seemingly got into a locked van. They made a big deal about it in the original Christmas Day about Ken struggling to find a van to unlock.

Maybe Ken will try to contact home in order to get a new passport etc etc and Linda will help him again? As long as the Mitchells think his dead I guess his safe for a while. It's just Martin trying to get one over Ben ; that won't go well if he discovers his been shown a fake video and taken for a mug!
I'd move home if I were Martin or Linda!

The bit in the warehouse with Linda in a Santa tutu skirt and a gun with some dramatic music felt like a very strange Tarentino film!

I for one am thrilled Ken is still alive but can't understand why Linda and Martin are so upset and struggling when they helped him escape.
Xmas Confused. Why did Martin burn Ken's passport? or have I just had too much Wine?

Really loved the scenes with Jean and Daniel.

Did Ben really not think Martin would go through with it? If so, why get him to do it? I mean, we all knew he wouldn't go through with it but surely Ben must have thought he would. That didn't make sense.

I guess the van and Linda will be overlooked as more drama unfolds.
She was wandering around the square drunk on Xmas day so it's only right you'd want to kip in a random dirty old van rather than go home. Then she ended up in hospital with Lee on a drip later on too!
Makes most Xmas day things people do rather boring in comparison.

Urgh. So many plot holes. They could’ve done that so much better.

Why would Martin be standing breaking his heart at the end when he didn’t actually kill anyone?

“Murder” filmed on white phone, Linda’s is pink. Martin handed Keanu a dark phone. So was that the burner- in which case Martin contacted Ben on his own phone. Doubtful. So Martin handed Keanu his own phone. So martins lost all his contacts. Why does Keanu even need a phone? Whose he going to be ringing that he can’t do from a phone box?

How is Keanu even going to get work without ID?

Linda the master shot? Erm, no.

How did Linda get in the van?

Why would Sonia need to steal money? She lives rent free, Martin has been throwing money at her recently, she’s got a good job with no childcare to pay. She isn’t helping bex out with university costs. Sonia’s only real expense are her food, her travel to work, her phone and the odd drink in the pub. Makes no sense at all.

Also- would the bank call centre have been operating on Xmas day? Why did nobody ask that question? Why didn’t bolshy Dottie say “actually- I’ll speak to the bank” seeing as how she’s the one going all Nancy drew.

I’m left feeling really irritated with that episode.

Why is Sonia stealing from Dot? And is this a one off or has she been gradually taking small amounts from her over time? Have barely watched EE this year but picked it up again in early December.

I have to agree that Kelly Bright did a fantastic job as drunk Linda yesterday, together with the clever camera angles & editing it gave a realistic impression of someone totally out of control drunk.

@WireBrushAndDettolMaam My theory is that I think Martin might have been losing it because he's so deep into this mess and realises it won't ever be over. He's always been Mr Normal - fruit & veg guy/family man and really just wants a quiet life... But I could be wrong!!

I'm a newbie to this thread, I haven't even watched EE for 10 years until this Xmas, but I had to agree with this. What even WAS that?

The Martin/Ben thing goes back years when Martin dangled Ben over a bridge by his legs. I think Phil had helped Sonia get away with Bex (who was then v young) and Martin took revenge by threatening Ben. I missed most of EE this year but I just read that Stacey apparently attacked Phil, which is why she & Martin ran away from the Square. Ben knew it was her (am assuming that was another whodunnit storyline) and therefore has Martin over a barrel: do as I say or I'll tell my Dad. (please correct if wrong!!)

Why would Martin be standing breaking his heart at the end when he didn’t actually kill anyone? he's been through a lot emotionally, not just that day!! Also he is probably anxious that he will be found out as mugging Phil off and killed himself. And he feels sorry for Keanu, won't get to see either of his kids or the rest of his family now... Martin still has a conscious, however twisted its become for trying to keep his family safe from Ben.
