Mick is really annoying me. He’s not being supportive or caring at all; all he’s doing is pushing L away.

Trouble is, Martin will have been more angst now as she's got to keep quiet and Ben seems a bit suspicious already.
I think this isn't the end for Martin about this business. Ben hates him so much.

I can't believe others are saying about Mick. I think he is being supportive ! I bet if the shoe was on the other foot, people would be telling Linda to leave Mick. Dealing with an alcoholic is horrible- especially the mark Mick got from Linda.

If I was Martin, I wouldn't worry about Karen, it's Linda I would be worried about more.

Ben is permanently drunk too. I agree it could be Callum his trying to forget .
He may be a bit annoying but I'm getting a soft spot for our Ben : not sure why though. He isn't even that nice.
I also agree that I would be advising Linda to leave mick if it were the other way around.

I think mick has been really patient with Linda. I know if a partner left a mark on me like she did on mick, whether drunk or not, the doors would be locked and their bag chucked out the window before they’d woken from their drunken stupor. I know she’s small but still. Violence is violence. He’s being really tolerant.

She was vile to Mick, but he isn't aware of all the latest craziness with Martin etc.
I feel they will split up as he will resent her and I can't see her stopping drinking.
There's not really anywhere they can go with the story unless she tells him what happened that night and I doubt she'll do that.

I agree. I've gone from feeling sorry for Linda to almost hoping Mick doesn't let her back in.
She didn't even want to see Ollie when she was sober the other morning, she said she needed a few hours sleep. Typical chronic alcoholic behaviour - putting alcohol before her own child, denial, blame, playing the victim, abusive. EE sure do their research

Drinkers / alcoholics are very selfish and this has come across well here : I guess I'm struggling as it's a women whose like it and not a man. You expect women to be less selfish I suppose especially if they have kids but that doesn't matter to them either : the drink is more important of course.

Yes I think they’re portraying the selfishness and nastiness of alcoholism really well in Linda.

I think Linda going to her mum will be a sort of separation for them. She says she’s going for a week but I think it might be longer otherwise I can’t actually see the point, in terms of storyline, of her going for just a week.

I was so glad that Ian did not buckle under Ben’s threatening behaviour, I feel really sorry for Sharon, yes she should not have had an affair but the way Phil treated her I don’t blame her, she knew it was wrong and ended it despite really loving Keanu.

Linda was being a selfish alcoholic before Xmas day she is just using it as an excuse. I feel sorry for Mick. And Sharon. Punishment for an affair, death or shame. The Mitchells are a medieval bunch. I really hope someone gets revenge on the entitled bunch of twats. Ian and Bobby sticking up for Sharon was great. And Jean and Daniel made me cry.

Sharon also forgave Phil for Shirley, and they weren’t on a break then. Plus Cathy getting arsenal about Sharon being a cheat, she had an affair with Shirleys boyfriend (Micks Dad) and that never came out. None of them really have a leg to stand on.

Cathy faked her own death, she doesn’t get to judge anyone for anything, ever!
