We’ve loved watching Friends together, so nice to spend time snuggled on the sofa. And a lot of interesting conversation!

Any thoughts about what next to watch? 30 minute episodes, would be good to watch on Prime or the standard stations. We don’t have Netflix. Comedy would be good. I don’t particularly like Fantasy. And ds says not too scary!

Frasier
Derry girls
The middle

StarDanced · 28/12/2019 19:59

Frasier
Buffy the vampire slayer (a bit scary but not too bad)

StarDanced · 28/12/2019 20:00

Miranda?

Pascha · 28/12/2019 20:00

Friday night dinner

monstermissy · 28/12/2019 20:01

The good place on Netflix... my ds 12 loved it 👍 we are currently on Lost in Space

TheExtraGuineaPig · 28/12/2019 20:01

Glee? Not really the same as Friends but I have a 12yo and both are popular with a lot of the same kids

monstermissy · 28/12/2019 20:02

Sorry just seen no Netflix 🙈

LadderShelving · 28/12/2019 20:04

You lot are fantastic! @monstermissy I think I might have to consider subscribing to Netflix....

If you do, Big Bang Theory is an obvious candidate. It's also got

Blackadder
Red Dwarf
Only Fools and Horses
The IT Crowd
Fawlty Towers
Mr Bean
The Royle Family
The Two Ronnies(!)
Bottom

MadisonAvenue · 28/12/2019 20:15

Parks and Recreation
The Middle

coatlessinspokane · 28/12/2019 20:16

Parks and Recreation?

Although to be honest I’d just go back to the beginning of Friends and start again.

BlueEyedFloozy · 28/12/2019 20:18

My 13yo moved on from Friends to That 70's Show - I'm delighted because I loved both when they were on first time round 😁

BarefootHippieChick · 28/12/2019 20:18

What about the Big Bang Theory? I think it's 15 rated but there's actually a lot less mention of sex and porn than there is in Friends.

TheReluctantCountess · 28/12/2019 20:18

I second the poster who said Friday Night Dinner. It’s the first thing in a long time that we’ve watched as a family. Ds is 13. It’s bloody hilarious!

bathplugbonkers · 28/12/2019 20:20

Dinnerladies! Only one season, but it's fantastic. It's on YouTube I think

Batinahat · 28/12/2019 20:20

Yes to Friday Night Dinner - very funny, lots to enjoy at all ages and lots especially for teen boy

BarefootHippieChick · 28/12/2019 20:21

coatless my teens have watched it about 3 times this year. They love it! I never watched all of it originally so nice to watch it properly for the first time.

MimsyBorogroves · 28/12/2019 20:23

Frasier, definitely.

0blio · 28/12/2019 20:24

Not sure which channel it's on but
The Durrells?

leghairdontcare · 28/12/2019 20:25

I don't know what streaming service it's on but "How I met your mother" is very similar to friends.

DragonmotherKhaleesi · 28/12/2019 20:34

Outnumbered
Doc Martin

fruitpastille · 28/12/2019 20:48

My ds loved Outnumbered.

AnotherEmma · 28/12/2019 20:51

Big Bang Theory. Better (and less sexist) than Friends.

Snowflake9 · 28/12/2019 20:52

Gilmore girls !

BreconBeBuggered · 28/12/2019 20:56

He might like The Goldbergs? I think it's on All4. But definitely Friday Night Dinner. Still Game is also a winner in my house.
