We’ve loved watching Friends together, so nice to spend time snuggled on the sofa. And a lot of interesting conversation!

Any thoughts about what next to watch? 30 minute episodes, would be good to watch on Prime or the standard stations. We don’t have Netflix. Comedy would be good. I don’t particularly like Fantasy. And ds says not too scary!

My DS is 12 and we are alternating between Glee, Friends and The Flash.

Gossip girl

Sirstheword · 28/12/2019 21:00

Inbetweeners
Modern family
The middle
Friday night dinner
Scrubs
Big Bang

DoorbellsSleighbellsSchnitzel · 28/12/2019 21:03

My 13 yr old DS has been enjoying lots already mentioned, in particular:

Big Bang Theory
The Good Place
Outnumbered
How I Met Your Mother

As well as:
Stranger Things
Brooklyn 99
The Office (US version)
Final Space

I think Netflix subscription would be worthwhile if you can manage it!

My 12yo is loving life in pieces on prime. We also do enjoy new Amsterdam and the good doctor ( not comedies though)

Jenniferturkington · 28/12/2019 21:11

Definitely Friday Night Dinner. My twelve and ten year olds find it very funny.
My ds 12 is currently watching Atypical with us and we are all enjoying it.

BigMamaFratelli · 28/12/2019 21:15

Oh definitely agree with the Goldbergs

Watched it with dd1 this year and she's a mature 10. So good

Florabella · 28/12/2019 21:18

Modern Family - my kids love it

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 28/12/2019 21:27

Outnumbered was a HUGE hit with DS
Merlin
The Arrowverse - Arrow/Flash/Legends of Tomorrow/Supergirl

DS also loves Brooklyn 99 and The IT Crowd.

BoswellsBollocks · 28/12/2019 21:27

This Country is a favourite with my 14yo ds.

OakleyStreetisnotinChelsea · 28/12/2019 21:36

I tried to get my 12 year old onto Buffy but he wasn't into it. Loves red dwarf though and Blackadder.

Santasy · 28/12/2019 21:39

Modern Family

Puffinhead · 28/12/2019 23:18

Ghosts! My DC 12 & 14 loved it. Also Fawlty Towers.

Redcliff · 28/12/2019 23:20

Me and my 12 yo DS have just finished good omens which was excellent. We are currently watching the office (US version) but some of it might be a little too risque. We have watched lots of the things mentioned on this thread on Netflix- would really recommend a subscription. We are trying prime for a free trial month but don't think we will continue.

pallisers · 28/12/2019 23:21

Modern Family

Started watching it when dd2 was about your dd's age and it took us through many a night after homework was done etc. It is really funny - especially the earlier series.

Macnabber · 28/12/2019 23:21

Definitely The Good Place and Friday Night Dinner

pallisers · 28/12/2019 23:22

My kids also loved

Parks and Recreation
The Office
Brooklyn 99
The IT Crowd

But Modern Family was the favourite. I sometimes re-watch the wedding episodes. so funny.

Macnabber · 28/12/2019 23:23

Oh yes, Parks and Rec. That's my favourite, I think it's funnier than Friends.

DecemberSnow · 28/12/2019 23:26

Not " friday night dinner" for a 12 year old

On Netflix.... "One day at a time"

DecemberSnow · 28/12/2019 23:29

How about "Young Sheldon"

Kindlethefourth · 28/12/2019 23:43

Modern family
NOT The Inbetweeners at 12 as has been recommended on here!

perfectpanda · 28/12/2019 23:45

Friday night dinner. If you don't mind swearing. But my 2 kids absolutely love it. As do I.

Helini · 28/12/2019 23:46

Scrubs! He (and you) will absolutely love it! Guaranteed.

bringincrazyback · 28/12/2019 23:46

The Inbetweeners KIDDING Grin

BlueEyedFloozy · 28/12/2019 23:48
