I don't know how I feel about Cain and Moira any more. I used to like them together but the scriptwriters have trampled all over them and then some with the stupid Nate thing and all that non drama on the boat. If they did get back together it would be

There are no normal, rounded characters without tons of baggage/secrets. Everyone has either killed someone, tried to kill someone or been in prison. Alcohol addiction, drugs, grooming, rape. I get that soaps like to cover issues but not all in one go.

I think this shooting Nate story is designed to push Cain and Moira back together. Cain will have to be grateful and keep Moira onside so she keeps giving him the alibi. Just my suspicion.

I know we will find out in ten minutes or so but won't Nate wake up and say Cain shot him?
Shame we can't rewind until just before Nate arrived in Emmerdale and pretend it never happened.

I don’t think he will. I think he feels guilty about breaking up his marriage and will go along with the rustler story to try and win favour with Cain. Probably leading to lots of “I know the truth, i’ll Prove you shot my son” from Nate’s mother.

Jojanna totally agree. I was so wishing for Nate not to pull through his surgery. I have disliked him intensely since day one but sadly the scriptwriters as per usual take no notice of the fans and it looks like he is here to stay.

I don't get the sudden Vanessa bowel cancer thing either. To my knowledge (and I stupidly watch every episode) there have never been any mention of her feeling unwell or having any symptoms, So now, not content with having ridiculous back stories being unearthed like Jamie being a schoolboy father and Kim and Graham being married, we now have stories plucked out of nowhere

I have bowel cancer, I had no symptoms and felt well, hope they are going to do this well and raise awareness.

for daisy. I really hope they are going to raise awareness of this responsibly too, especially the no symptoms and getting checked out. I have a feeling it's just been shoe horned in to dramatise Vanessa and charity's relationship. Judging on the recent past I'm not sure they will do it responsibly either. The grooming storyline wasn't so well done, the current Victoria/rape storyline has been frightening.

Thanks everyone, mine was picked up through screening, Vanessa isn't old enough for that but she could have had screening if it was in her family. It's not something we really talk about so she could have had symptoms and not told anyone or waiting until she knew what treatment she was going to have. My treatment started very quickly, I've had an operation and a stoma and have more treatment to come, I've gone from someone who would never talk about poo or poo outside my own home to someone who is talking about it and telling people to do the test, so many people have told me they don't do it.

Why didn’t Vanessa just tell “I’m at laurels!” There’s no way pierce could have gotten her and Johnny away before Rhona got there whilst calling the police on her way. Pierce might have gotten away himself but at least Vanessa and Johnny would be safe.

I've noticed them preempting a lot of questions the last week or so. Charity got asked about getting her hair cut while Vanessa is missing. Then they had the line about the fake drawer to stop the question of why Vanessa didn't pull it out.
