Oh Pants.

VAMOS!!!

Raahh · 12/01/2020 13:30

It's all going a bit wrong for Spain now Sad

Mama1980 · 12/01/2020 13:41

Poop Sad

Fizzywinegum · 12/01/2020 13:41

I’m just score watching but it’s not going well for Spain Sad

Raahh · 12/01/2020 14:00

I wonder if Rafa wishes he had played?

Raahh · 12/01/2020 14:04

Well, looks like Serbia have it, really, doesn't it?

Sad

We will be treated to Djoks boob celebration again.

Raahh · 12/01/2020 14:08

Well, there you go.

Hopefully Djok will have burnt himself out for Melbourne.

And Rafa will get a second wind Grin.

Fizzywinegum · 12/01/2020 14:12

We can but hope Raahh Grin

PrivateSpidey · 12/01/2020 18:54

Well that was a bit of a turn up - I thought Spain would win the doubles. Tbh I just assumed they would, probably not set wise when Djok is involved.

I hope Rafa hasn't knackered himself out this week - he's gone from one extreme to the other with his lack of matches last year/too many this year!

Djok was irritatingly fresh as a daisy wasn't he?!

Anyway, only seven doors left to open on our virtual advent calendar/Melbourne countdown! Yay!

Have already put my Frosted Wheats in my online shopping basket in preparation for all my tennis breakfasts Grin

JaneJeffer · 12/01/2020 19:37

Yay I'll finally get to watch some tennis then even if it means sitting in my freezing kitchen.

Fizzywinegum · 12/01/2020 19:49

Glad you’ve got your Australian Open breakfasts sorted out already Spidey Grin

Is the AO on Eurosport Jane? It is rubbish for anyone without Prime. It’s coverage does seem to have improved since the early days but it’s still something extra to pay for.

The timings at the AO always confuse me but at least it is just one timezone.

Djokovic did look worryingly fresh Hmm

I’ve just been reading about Andy Murray’s hamster disappearing down his sink plug hole when he was 10 (it’s in The Sunday Times) - we also had several Houdini hamsters!

PrivateSpidey · 12/01/2020 20:04

Grin at the hamsters - I thought at first this was a recent thing! Love Andy's stories, I find him v funny.

It's so true Fizzy about prime - I usually cancel it after Xmas but I haven't this time - but I should, as I don't really need it for the next month or so. Until Delray Beach, obviously Grin

This Disney Plus service comes out soon, and DS has been harping on about getting it, but we can't get that as well - something's got to give!

Ideally I would get rid of sky and just have prime/Netflix, but Sky shows the NZ rugby so that's that Brew

It is ion Eurosport Fizzy which means I have to put up with Petch and Peloton. I don't know which is worse.

JaneJeffer · 12/01/2020 21:57

On!

kazzaD66 · 12/01/2020 22:10

Oh ffs!
Serena's tournament win is a headline at the top of the BBC ten o'clock news!
She's not British and you can't get much further away than NZ, so why?
No doubt we'll know the reason when we get to the news item.
Something to do with being a mother perhaps......Hmm

PrivateSpidey · 12/01/2020 22:10

Grin I wonder if there will be a new Incredible India ad this year?!

OP posts:
JaneJeffer · 12/01/2020 22:15

I've put the news on just to see what they have to say kazza Grin

kazzaD66 · 12/01/2020 22:23

Jane Grin
Hope you thought it was worth it Wink

It was the top sports story, even knocking football off the top spot!
Although the newsreader tried her best to cock it up in her excitement Grin

JaneJeffer · 12/01/2020 22:29

The sports reporter was dressed for a saloon in the Wild West.

And what's with Serena's cape over a hoodie? Confused

kazzaD66 · 12/01/2020 22:37

Grin sports reporter

And how many photos of her daughter did they shoe horn into that report?

She's a mum.
We know.
We get it.
We really do.

PrivateSpidey · 12/01/2020 22:41

I couldn't really see it properly but it might have been a Korowhai - a Maori traditional cape/cloak. It looked like it had feathers/tassles which they do, but I don't know if it was Serena's (she has worn her own cape before iirc?!) or if it was part of the trophy ceremony.

Great preparation for Australia!! I really want her to win it.

OP posts:
JaneJeffer · 12/01/2020 22:45

Ah it could have been a Maori cloak. I thought it was one of her interesting designs!

PrivateSpidey · 12/01/2020 22:51

Grin I was just Googling it, and saw a photo from a different angle where it did look a bit more "ceremonial" with quite a bit of gold on it etc. But you never know!

PrivateSpidey · 13/01/2020 18:51

Fangirl alert Rafa to wear sleeveless kit in Melbourne! I repeat: Rafa to wear sleeveless kit in Melbourne.
Grin
6 days to go!

OP posts:
Raahh · 13/01/2020 18:56

Ooh, sleeveless is good. Grin
It will cool him down.
Maybe that's where he went wrong at the ATP cup. he kept his shirt on

Grin

Not long now.
