I've just read that Dick has pledged to donate 200 Australian dollars (£106) for every ace he serves in Australian tournaments in January to help those affected by the bushfires. It's the only time I might want him to do well
Milkman and de Minaur have pledged the same.

The Ace thing is all very well, but not all players rely on aces, and so it makes players like Dick look all generous, when it's basically the only thing he's good at and swearing.

Do under arm aces count? .Hopefully it will stop him doing them...

But yes, if it raises lots of money, then that's good.

He can donate his fines too, I suppose.

I am quite looking forward to it all, even if there will probably be silly overly complicated rules that I won't get.

I am concerned about the noise.

I will need to get used to Australian time zones.

Spidey funny you should say that, at 2 this afternoon, it really felt like it was nearer 8 in the evening. It has been a very strange day!

Its this blooming darkness Raahh - it gets to 3.30pm and then it feels like the day is over to me! I need to snap out of it sharpish.

I know, it's so odd- I need to get the dc back to school etc sharpish and back into a proper 'routine' so I can start to feel more human. I just feel odd.

I’ve just had a quick look at the schedule and it is very confusing - I’m assuming there are different time zones between Brisbane, Sydney and Perth - I can’t really work out which dates the different matches will be played on - it does start tomorrow though (or maybe it’s started already? )

My friend lives in Brisbane and they’re 10 hours in front of us - Australian time zones always confuse me.

My artificial tree has made more mess than a real tree. It is 23 years old, and still looks better than any replacements I looked at in the shops, but blimey, it has shed a lot this year ( thanks to the dog scratching his back on it).
