Yann's food often looks great but gets criticised. I agree he seems the weakest. I haven't liked anything Exose has cooked, his puddings always look bery sickly and noy quite right to mein terms of texture. I thought his turbot cassoulet was a bit simple for the chef's table but obviously it tasted great.
I thought the chef's gave greater praise this year. I laughed when Jockie Petrie liked Olivia's dish with all the technical wizardy of foams and gels and snows etc. I knew it'd be up his street.
I think Olivia is amazing for her age, unflappable. I think Exose has potential and a good manner but does "protest too much" that he is under pressure, given himself more to do etc when it is just as much (or sometimes less) than others. Stu has been the dark horse coming up and getting better. He's a bit older than O&E and you can see how he is incorporating elements from the rounds in the michelin kitchens (miso gels etc). I though the menu overall was a bit too fishy.
I think it's pretty close between Stu, Olivia and Exose, whoever mucks up even a little will be gone and it's so hard when M&M like their meat so pink . I think Exose has been favoured by the editing , doesn't mean he'll win. I think Olivia and Stu are actually stronger cooks overall. However, who ever wins I'm sure they all have made great impressions on the show and further training with great chefs will be open to them.
