New thread. Nice chatting.

Will James and Ian finally have to knuckle down and do some work?

Sounds intriguing Tits Grin

Not only did James try to get Kate to give up by throwing stuff at her, but just before that Ian said to Adele (in a very passive aggressive way) “You know what would help you do even better? If you weren’t chucking stuff straight on my back” Or something similar to that. She just said oh sorry...felt really sorry for her as she wasn’t doing it deliberately Sad

SophieGiroux · 30/11/2019 15:38

Just read about Ian and James talking about Santa not being real and spoiling Xmas for kids watching. Does anyone know if that part is in the repeat on itv2 the next day? I let my dd watch it on there as no swearing but don't want her to lose the magic of sabra just yet!

MyNewBearTotoro · 30/11/2019 16:46

Think I missed the conversation about Father Christmas not being real - was it in last nights show?

SophieGiroux · 30/11/2019 16:47

Think it was on Thu night?

JaneJeffer · 30/11/2019 16:47

ITV shouldn't have shown it. I don't remember seeing it though!

itswinetime · 30/11/2019 17:00

They didn't say Father Christmas isn't real they (Ian) were talking about playing him for their kids from what I remember. It was after 9pm on a school night i don't think itv were in the wrong I'm not sure if it's on catchup and it was on Thursday I think most people missed it to be honest!

CherryBathBomb · 30/11/2019 17:14

Sorry I haven't had time to rtft but how often do evictions happen?

I've obviously just started watching this show this year Blush

MyNewBearTotoro · 30/11/2019 17:42

Oh, okay, the conversation where they said they’d make footprints for their kids etc? That seemed a perfectly reasonable conversation for them to air m, it’s nice to see the celebrities as normal parents and childhood is a very bonding thing.

They weren’t explicit in saying he didn’t exist and there’s plenty of sexual innuendo and mild swearing etc on the show - it’s hardly appropriate viewing for kids young enough to properly believe in Father Christmas.

Parents can obviously decide whether their young children are mature enough to watch shows after the watershed without them even pre-watching each episode for suitability but you can hardly get up in arms if your child then sees something that isn’t child friendly. As a parent it’s surely your responsibility to stop your young kids from seeing unsuitable TV shows after 9pm, if a show is put on post-watershed there’s nothing else the TV channel needs to reasonably do.

RealJudas · 30/11/2019 18:13

My point is that (imo) it IS mostly a child friendly show - surely the timing is to fit with Australia rather than for it to be specifically post-watershed, so why not just not air that conversation?

SpanishFly · 30/11/2019 18:27

Whether it's mostly.child friendly or not, it's on after 9pm - ie after the watershed when the obligation to be child friendly

SpanishFly · 30/11/2019 18:28

*has ended.
Sorry, pressed the Post button too soon

MyNewBearTotoro · 30/11/2019 18:33

I don’t think it’s about the time difference, if it was on at 8pm then it would be 6am rather than 7am in Aus which isn’t a wildly unreasonable time - plenty of UK TV/ radio breakfast shows start at that time. The show is on post watershed, it may be suitable for older pre-teen kids but don’t think it’s meant for children still young enough and innocent enough to believe in Father Christmas, it doesn’t finish til 10:30 mid-week which is way beyond most young children’s bedtimes. And lots of the conversations aren’t suitable for young children, for example Ant & Dec were making jokes about ‘little knob,’ celebs discussing would you rather never have sex or food again, there’s mild swearing and references to things like Caitlyn’s op to remove her genitals. I don’t think they’d be expecting young children who’d still believe in Father Christmas to be watching as plenty of those themes aren’t really suitable for young children. Maybe they’re thinking older pre-teens would be watching, but not kids who are still young enough for Father Christmas.

AppleKatie · 30/11/2019 19:12

I agree it's not kids tv.

I can see why you might let a santa believing child watch parts of the show. But not an hour or so every day for weeks; so easy enough to not show them that bit yourself.

Oooo likes Cliff is going to do a trial!!!

MyNewBearTotoro · 30/11/2019 21:17

‘Have you been hanging out with a dick?’ ‘Yes I have.’

Is anyone still thinking this is a kids show!?

IfIShouldFallFromGraceWithGod · 30/11/2019 21:23

Who the hell does James think he is. No debate as long as he gets to make the decisions

Peanutbatter · 30/11/2019 21:23

Did James just say "I can't stand over talkers

Lepetitpiggy · 30/11/2019 21:26

he's just horrible

MyNewBearTotoro · 30/11/2019 21:27

I’m wish it was vote to go but unfortunately I think when it’s vote to save he’s likely to last at least a few more evictions.

TitsInAbsentia · 30/11/2019 21:29

Er...they aren't doing very well are they...
