I heard Karim say that but thought I was imagining things. Maybe he meant he just hadn’t danced that particular dance, with Amy, on SCD ...

As for Tess, I’ve heard that Mattel are bringing out a new doll in time for next Christmas; Insincere Barbie. Pull the string in her back and she says “ah, your little face,” “it’s alright darling “ and “how do you feel about being bottom of the leaderboard?”

Re the Argentine Tango, Craig did say that the kicks and flicks are meant to be the woman's reactions to to the man's lead. Alex's kicks looked very intentional rather than reactive iyswim.

He made pretty much the same comments about Kate Silverton's Argentine Tango last year. Now, her dance looked very heavy and laboured.

It's probably a good thing we had a disappointing week, We all need to reset our expectations, including the judges.

It's like when every year the O and A level results are better then the last, then suddenly they aren't and everyone in that year feels like a failure, even they they probably outperformed the year before that.

Does that make sense to anybody? It did in my head...

I do know what you mean. I also think there’s often a dip at this point in the show when the judges give no quarter for the smallest errors and, yes, our expectations are sky high.

Hated Kelvin’s dance and costumes - and I normally love Oti’s choreography.

They have outside choreographers for Couples Choice - Oti namechecked them when she and Kelvin were in the Clauditorium.

The Argentine Tango isn’t supposed to have “kicks and flicks”, it’s supposed to be the woman’s foot following and reacting to the man’s, swinging with a relaxed lower leg not kicking from the thigh. That’s what Craig meant about Alex needing to be “looser downstairs”.

Part of the problem for me this year i that Kelvin and Karim have been at the top right from the start but haven't noticeably improved. By contrast, Chris (who was crap at the beginning) has improved immensely, even if he's still not very good. I've warmed to him over the last few weeks - I couldn't stand him at the start.

I think Alex has peaked and I think it's time for her to go.

I'm sat in traffic jam on A1 (not the driver! 😆) near a junction for Barton - is this an omen, I ask you all...?

I'm surprised Emma has survived this long. She can't have a huge eastenders following, so must be all thr Anton fans.

I enjoyed this week contrary to popular opinion it seems. I like Kelvin, Alex and Chris.

Chris looked hot last night in both 'personas' he can act. Hopefully in real life he's somewhere in the middle ;)

Alex and Chris have both come a long way and I like to see progress rewarded!
