Soooooooooo what an exciting 2 episodes

MEL is dead. Didnt expect that after the car crash tho agree would have looked more splattered and squashed , then just a bit of head blood on the road

Few weeks to Xmas - will Phil find out baby isn’t his

Don’t think Louise’s baby is keegans as he said he was a virgin to tiff

Tho when keanu starting dating LOUISE , keegan did say about his left overs so maybe he wasn’t a virgin .....

Would be an amazing twist if baby is black

Ollie. He could be a lot worse not sure why L is so cut olio

Not sure if anything else exciting is happening

Dentist and honey. She stays with him tho cheating

Ben bullying Martin. Needs to stop and Stacey to come back

Are kats kids going to make an appearance soon ?

Bobbys religion

What else have I missed

Poor Callum

Ah not really not because of the way he conned Whit but most particularly because it is such an obvious storyline. Such lazy writing doesn’t deserve sympathy.

iknowimcoming · 21/12/2019 20:23

Oh I thought the Ben and Callum scene was very touching! Ben letting Callum go because he really loves him and doesn't want him to get hurt, I had something in my eye I will admit!

The80sweregreat · 21/12/2019 20:55

I thought the Callum / Ben dumping scene was well done in what was a fairly boring episode.
He did treat Whitney badly I agree, but I feel for him that now Ben has dumped him!
I'm clearly a soft touch.

Figgygal · 21/12/2019 21:13

Aw Callum
I'm loving this conflicted Ben he's a great actor

RowenaMud · 21/12/2019 21:29

Yes to the Ben actor. He is really really good. There was a part last night where it felt like Ben was on a stage in the leading role. He is very very good.

As usual in EE being a very very good actor highlights the flaws of the others. Luckily whoever plays Callum is good at portraying his inner feelings outwardly. Thankfully the Ben character isn’t playing opposite someone like Mick!

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 21/12/2019 22:38

Haven't seen Fridays (need to prise DH away from his Binge-Watching) but Phil blethering on and on about "I need to kill someone"

Surely he'd just say "I need to kill Jack/Mick/Uncle Tom Cobley-and-his-dog"

Are they trying to keep the net wide open for a surprise Duff-Duff .
Oh so Ken isn't the Dad , it;s Jay/Billy/Kush

RowenaMud · 21/12/2019 22:43

I suppose that will be the end of the Billy and Karen relationship. Mitchells v Taylors???

icecreamsundae32 · 22/12/2019 08:21

It's all just too predictable... let them all have a happy Xmas for once!

The80sweregreat · 22/12/2019 10:11

How will Kat and mo go to work if they are barricaded in the house? Stupid people not to talk to the owners first and see where they could cut back in order to pay the extra rent , on or get in touch with the council or do anything rather than this ! They would be rehoused somewhere as they have children. ? I am guessing but they would receive some help given all the problems they have?
All very silly.
Phil is over reacting just a tad! Just ask Sharon the truth and be reasonable about it : his not s saint himself. He could quietly throw her and Denny out ( if that's what he wants) and move on with his life ; all this waving guns about isn't getting him any where! It's the Mitchell pride spurring him on. Silly man.
I Agree that Ben is a good actor ; I hated him at first but his not bad at all now. One of the better ones in it.

lazymum99 · 22/12/2019 10:40

The barricading in is soooo stupid. The new owners have agreed they can stay with a rent increase. Just negotiate with them. If owners don’t actually want to live in it yet surely it’s better to have Slater tenants than none.
Ridiculous.

DoesntLeftoverTurkeySoupDragOn · 22/12/2019 10:43

The buyers must have forgone the full structural survey on the Slater house.

WireBrushAndDettolMaam · 22/12/2019 12:05

New owners clearly haven’t done their homework on tenancy law. They can’t just let themselves in because they own the property. You have to give notice and receive permission to be let in Panesars! Grin

lazymum99 · 22/12/2019 13:00

They issued them with a section 21. They can’t evict them doghouse taking to court. The slaters are safe there until a court order given.

lazymum99 · 22/12/2019 13:01

Doghouse???? Should read without.

iknowimcoming · 22/12/2019 13:44

They didn't even view the house and no for sale sign was ever put up - ok then Hmm

The80sweregreat · 22/12/2019 14:12

Just pay the extra rent and look for something else in the new year.
That's too sensible I guess.

PinkDaydreams · 22/12/2019 15:22

When did kush give up his flat? I don’t understand why he moved into the slaters, it’s so crowded!

RowenaMud · 22/12/2019 15:33

I imagine it was more to do with combined childcare between himself and Kat.

He is a nice character though. Too nice for Kat and he was too nice for Denise. The only woman he was really well matched with was Shabnam.

He is too nice for EE in general. Maybe Whitney would be nice for him but I think she is too complicated and hard too. It’s sad there isn’t ONE equally nice female character - by nice I mean gentle and sensitive.

Akire · 22/12/2019 15:47

Just caught up, another crazy not claiming housing benefit story. Kat and kush have 5 children so can claim on basis low income, mo is a pensioner and can claim her share of rent in benefit ditto Jean if shes off sick or works PT. Not exactly rocket science.

Phil and murder story line is abit much. Ok spur of moment rage but days later, really? Would he risk losing Denny and Lou and going prison?

My money’s one Linda getting drunk Xmas day leaving turkey in/candle on for proper old fashioned Xmas day explosion!

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 22/12/2019 20:34

Kush and Honey????

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 22/12/2019 20:45

I reckon Kat will be drawn into a "Rent arrangement for sex" scenario (topical, it was in the news recently) .
I'm pretty sure this was hinted at by The Brothers when she went to plead their case .

Kush will be horrified and go off to seek solace in the welcoming arms of Honey .........after she kicks Billy into touch .

The80sweregreat · 22/12/2019 20:53

I can't imagine Kat having that much clout with the brothers : they seemed a bit repulsed by her i think. I think they will break in and throw them out as they are trying to avoid them and the rent increase etc. Then move in there themselves!
The Slaters will have to find a new home.
There's a lot of them too!
Who would help them out?
Maybe Daniel has money? Once jean gets over the shock that his still alive that is!
Although this is nothing new in EE of course!

icecreamsundae32 · 22/12/2019 21:57

Is Alfie coming back? Or baby cherry's mum?

RowenaMud · 22/12/2019 22:01

Yes the brothers will move in surely. It is a condition that everyone who visits a relative living in the square must move there themselves!

I did think of Honey after posting. She and Kush would be a lovely couple although Honey is such a nondescript character I’m not sure I’d wish her on anyone plus she has a thing for Jack.......

dogsdinnerlady · 23/12/2019 09:12

They could all hide in dodgy loft extension, pull up the ladder and sit tight.
