It's not quite time to don your woolly jumpers or stoke up your log fires for the winter - still some tennis to be played this season!

The Mac ad is just that classic picture of Mac with curly hair, headband, in the middle of a tantrum (ie an old pic, not what he looks like now) and a caption something like "You cannot be serious! Two Tesco deliveries for the price of one!" or something.

I mean, why?! Just why?!!

Although he did do that awful ad for broadband a couple of years ago, where he had that fake family and he was supposed to be so out of touch he basically didn't know what the internet was

I'm watching Evans/Struff- Struff only narrowly lost the first set. Has easily won the second. I wouldn't be surprised if a Struffing was on the cards

Yes it was Raahh - I think I vaguely remember it and he talks about it in his autobiography - even Mac admitted it wasn’t the best idea for a game show - he also had his own talk show (bet no one could get a word in edgeways )

It was strange- google tells me it was called The Chair- and Mac would ask questions, iirc the contestant had to keep a steady heart rate. If they closed their eyes , Mac would warn them (presumably this can affect heart rates).

I don't think it even lasted a full series before it was cancelled. It was a while back- 2002, I think. (Around the time I found out I was pg with ds!)

Yes, I remember reading about that game show in his autobiography. I don't think Mac could quite believe he was part of it

Score watching again and see that GB are through to the DC semis, which means we automatically qualify for next year's event.

I see the gb team are trying to get people to come and support them in Madrid tomorrow. Andy's put a plea on social media.

The problem is a lot of people probably would have only got tickets for the group/round robin stage wouldn't they - for all the teams I mean - a bit tricky for the competition really if loads of the fans have gone home for the semis and final!

I'm sure Andy will get a good response though

Yes, you can apply for up to four free tickets. Great if you're out there and a tennis fan (and haven't already paid out good money for tickets!).

This is just another problem with the revamped format. If you've got to travel to another country, when do you stay until and do you take a chance on your team getting through?

Would love it if Andy played Rafa and beat him in his own backyard (but it won't happen).

I'd class myself as a neutral in that tie as I like both Rafa and Andy - but if push came to shove I'd probably go Rafa.

I'm just watching the doubles and Canada are smashing it out of the park. Pospisil's not half a good player. It's such a shame he's had so many injuries.

Still haven’t seen any tennis - I’m in the Lake District this weekend so unlikely to see any. I think I would support Rafa if push came to shove but it would be good to see Andy win (sits on the fence)
