I think Emma was disappointed with getting Tony, you could tell, and disappointed with her scores. She's obviously got her sights on West end stardom. It's bad but she really reminds me of the woman who dances with her dad on Extras...

SheStood they always have different pros/ex-pros on Choreography Corner now (used to always be Karen Hardy). Ian Waite still does the midweek warm up looking at the training footage for the coming weekend’s dances.

I'd noticed, as pp have mentioned, that Chris and Karen don't cling on to each other whilst waiting for the results. Seeing them on ITT tonight, it does seem like they get on really well, and I think I quite like that they're not overly emotional and gushy, just come across as two good pals having a laugh.

Karen seems to be much, much less manic than she has been in previous years. She used to be louder and more hyper than my DC after a bagful of Skittles.

They seem to be "propah maaates" so its a different dynamic.

Tbh I tire of the gushing and the clutching and the clinging and the grabbing. All seems more like trauma bonding than anything.

Chris and Karen have turned out to be the most authentic pairing for me this year, as undemonstrative as it is.

I wasn't criticising Karen and Chris for being demonstrative btw - I actually find it a refreshing change from the usual 'can't prize them apart'. But it is so unusual, I thought it was worth commenting on 😉

Karen is a different person this year. She's so relaxed and comfortable in her own skin.

She's all loved up again and seems really content. Plus Chris is lovely and it's clear they're having a right laugh.

She quit doing the bunny ears too. I noticed Chris stopped her doing them on the results show the Sunday before last.

Oh and I love her hair now, she's never looked more beautiful IMO.

I’m not keen on the luvvieness and clinging. It just feels so contrived. I like that Karen and Chris are just more normal with each other.

Completely agree about Karen, I think this is the first series I've really warmed to her.

Usually she used to irritate me, especially with the crawling on the training room floor biting ankles & growling that she used to do.

Also love her hair, really suits her.

Also I wonder with Anton, whether he's struggling to have a partner who isn't completely terrible? Usually he can get away with the completely comedy routines, but now presumably he's having to put slightly more effort in with choreography etc.

I think it also really shows him up to be the weakest pro.

I think it should be his last year, he doesn't seem to be enjoying it very much anymore. But he's probably clinging on until he gets the presenting job, if Tess steps down.

There still seems to be a distinct lack in info from Neil / Will, I wonder if we'll see any training room footage for midweek warm up on tonight's ITT?

I just wonder if they're waiting to see if they can still perform as I know they've confirmed their song choices for this weekend, but do think it's odd that neither have confirmed they're back training yet.

Hope they are both ok, especially Will as that looked a real nasty fall Haloween Sad

Sil & I noticed that Anton didn’t appear right on Saturday but sil reckons it was the face paint/makeup over his eye that was irritating him.
