Kelvin has been wearing a jacket each week since Shirley perved over his rumba.

ppeatfruit · 29/10/2019 16:02

I'm off over your way tomorrow. and off line for a couple of weeks Happy Halloween everyone Halloween Grin

Let's hope there are a few 'losers', who deserve to be, before I return!!!

MissLadyM · 29/10/2019 16:09

No one will answer my question how they do the Halloween trailers midweek all dressed up when it's a live show????

SoupDragon · 29/10/2019 16:17

I assumed they use footage from previous years. I hadn't looked closely to see though - maybe they dress up and film them specially? Perhaps when they're practising the makeup .

OnlyTheTitOfTheIceberg · 29/10/2019 16:29

Do the trailers not use footage from the training room rather than the show? Plus the judges' garb wasn't too out there this year, so I can't imagine it would be too onerous to get them done up to film a trailer.

Samcro · 29/10/2019 16:46

what other choices do couples have to choose from?
I am sure I have only seen them do "street"

Contemporary - both Saffron and Will chose that.
Theatre/Jazz - don't think anyone has gone for that so far, but I expect AntonEmma will if she stays in long enough - and chooses - to do it (imagine Anton doing either of the other two!)

TricklBOO · 29/10/2019 17:01

I can't even begin to imagine Anton doing street!

Mrsjayy · 29/10/2019 17:07

Gio and Faye from Steps did theatre/jazz there dancers choice on halloween they were fantastic, Anton might do that tooEmma is into musical theatre

Mrsjayy · 29/10/2019 17:10

I cant imagine Anton having much time for contemptawaft all that barefoot nonsense

ElspethFlashman · 29/10/2019 17:32

You know Monkseal has a point about Anton looking miserable this year. He just looks properly deflated. Have we even had a "MARVELLOUS HAHA!" at all yet?

It's just occurred to me that we're halfway through and he's barely spoken.

My theory is that Emma just hasn't got the time, was never going to have the time, and it's quite deflating trying to teach someone who is always knackered and stressed. And I suspect Emma is quite hard work in a nice batty actressy angsty kind of way, and he can't be dealing with it, he's got 2 bloody toddlers at home that are bad enough!

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 29/10/2019 17:42

I don’t think Anton looks well, I’ve been thinking for a couple of weeks now that he looks thinner and more tired.

TricklBOO · 29/10/2019 17:50

I sort of get the vibe Anton & Emma don't really get on that well. Certainly polite, professional & respectful. Just not jolly chums. He seems...I don't know - a bit tense around her?

ManonBlackbeak · 29/10/2019 18:07

I think its time for Anton to call it a day. He can still be involved in the show, but he looks ridiculous during the pro numbers. Very much a drunk embarrassing dad at a wedding night do.

Wolfcub · 29/10/2019 18:34

ITT Mike’s leprechaun beard is freaking me out

Yep, I totally agree with this.

OnlyTheTitOfTheIceberg · 29/10/2019 18:44

I’m a little bit in love with Dancemaster Carmen.

Wolfcub · 29/10/2019 18:57

I’m loving Rylan on ITT. Haven’t watched one with him yet this series

MargotLovedTom1 · 29/10/2019 19:10

I think Anton took against Emma right at the start when she said "My mum'll be happy I've got you!" Grin

There's definitely no sense of: "Ooh we're such good pals and love going off for lunch and a gossip; we never stop laughing, dahling," that there's been with his other partnerships. Obviously she's got no time!

ManonBlackbeak · 29/10/2019 19:18

Thing is, on paper Emma should be a ringer she has a lot of previous dance training and has been in Chicago (remember the stick Denise got for that?). I cant work out whether its her or Anton who is the problem? Would she has been better with another pro I wonder?

Wizzbangpop · 29/10/2019 19:25

I love that German lady who teaches Rylan to dance

SheStoodInTheStorm · 29/10/2019 19:38

Sorry if I've missed this...is Pasha permanently replacing Ian on choreography corner?

Redcrayons · 29/10/2019 19:40

I thought Emma would be better than she is. Maybe Chicago is just 'sitting on a chair' after all Grin

picklemebrains · 29/10/2019 19:44

Why is Emma busy? Am I confused about who is who?

ElspethFlashman · 29/10/2019 19:45

Honestly, lovely lady though she may be, I suspect its her. He's had some people that were 100 times worse and had a laugh with it.

I do wonder sometimes if people groan at the thought of getting the Eastenders person. They know the score with it coinciding with the Christmas Eastenders Murderthon Dramaganza where the celebs are worked to ribbons.

That said, he seemed chuffed to get her (though that may be cos he assumed he had Anneka) so it may have started out quite positive.

And they're getting OK marks, definitely. So it's not because they're doing badly. He did seem to get a buzz off the reaction to Send In The Clowns but it was clear the rehearsals with all her IMPROV and EMOTING and EXPLORING THE CHARACTERS got on his wick something chronic.
