Did Gorka even offer to dance with Alex? I can't imagine many Pros would be willing to go through the embarrassment of doing a routine live with only 45 mins rehearsal knowing they were bound to mess bits up. I can't imagine Gorka wanting to do that at all. Well done Kevin for stepping up.

I think he very much wanted to dance with her, considering his manic retweeting of everyone who said he should have done it.

Having seen Neil's tweet to thank Kevin, I think it was more appropriate that Kevin did it instead of Gorka. He knows Neil better and have spent more time with him and Alex than Gorka has. I guess Alex would have felt more comfortable with KFG for that reason.

Kev was probably helping them with training ,more experienced or just there Gorka just needs to chill out!

Arm hankies are coming back into fashion actually. For the last few years it's been ribbons and shower puffs, with a brief detour into feather boas. I like the arm hankies better though (although I did see a dress recently where it looked like she'd been caught mid-pegging out the washing with a pillowcase over her arm!).

Re: signing. A few of the pros have signed this year - Chris was the first to do so, I think, and has signed thankyou each week when he has got through.

Emma B and Michelle then joined in (there’s a few people campaigning on twitter to get more joining), and hen saffron this week too.

Possibly Shirley as well - she may have signed ghost when she came on (but it could have ‘just’ been a bit of armography )

I think only Chris and Emma B remembered to sign thankyou this week, but it was quite a tense wait, with a lot of them fairly worried about getting through, and they only get a second to say thanks after they’re announced.

Would be nice to see it happen more - my 2 dc who watch have both noticed the pros who have signed so far (their older sister uses Makaton), and they were delighted to see signing being used on ‘normal’ tv, rather than a specific signed broadcast, or something special.

Well that’s embarrassing. Must rewatch not on the iPad this time...

Joe Varney is without a doubt the hottest pro! I think he got unfairly pegged as an Italian stallion at first and starting a relationship with Georgia didn't help. However, he has proven to be a fantastic pro - patient, creative and hot. His showdance last year was outstanding #fayewuzrobbed

Catherine is clearly a better dancer than Mike but was unlucky to have a dance she couldn't do up against one that suited Mike. Her cha cha cha was a shambles and I would have voted for Mike and I don't like him!

I watched ITT, lovely to see Catherine and Johannes again.

I watched the result show twice and paid more attention the second time. Mike and Katya were great and Mike has certainly worked hard and improved. I will miss C & J though.

Michelle is top. Definitely a very good dancer, she can tell a story. I am not keen on her, don't know why, but that doesn't stop me appreciating what she does.

Well my Dd thinks it was because Mike works for the beeb is why he was saved

So does Anneka Rice. I don't think working for the BBC had anything to do with it.
