The first time Johannes was told to dance down to not overshadow his partner, I heard him say to his partner as they went off to the Clauditorium " I certainly will not dance myself down" or some such words. I agreed with Craig as was so obviously not flattering his partners peformance.
However, the commitment that Mike gave to his dances and the improvement I saw in the DO did make me think he might go through even though I feel Catherine had more potential.
The Charleston could be a wow for Mike next week- I hope so.

Michelle is amazing and loved her dance.

Karim is still dancing with the same expression for every dance as if he were performing on the stage and not in a ballroom which is essentially a partner dance each one needing a different expression .

SchadenfiendeUnmortified · 28/10/2019 11:18

Am I the only one who thought Giovanni in eye liner and chains was utterly delicious?

No.

SoupDragon · 28/10/2019 11:20

I was looking forward to NOT seeing annoying Katya's over emoting boatrace any more.

You're probably not going to enjoy their Charleston next week then 😂

OnlyTheTitOfTheIceberg · 28/10/2019 11:20

The first time Johannes was told to dance down to not overshadow his partner, I heard him say to his partner as they went off to the Clauditorium

He said to whichever judge it was (Craig?) "never!" in an OTT melodramatic way which could have suggested he was joking. He and Catherine both agreed to the alternative which was for her to raise her game to match his. If Johannes was being serious then he'll struggle on Strictly as that's part of the skill of dancing with and presenting a non-professional dancer to their best advantage.

covetingthepreciousthings · 28/10/2019 11:22

I think Johannes will be amazing next year if he gets a ringer... but if he ever gets a complete dud I think he will massively show them up.

ElspethFlashman · 28/10/2019 11:22

Karim is basically an acrobat trying to tether himself to earth long enough to do a few dance steps.

I think he's amazing, don't get me wrong, but I don't think he'll win. The judges are starting to think he's a one trick pony, albeit a very impressive one.

Horehound · 28/10/2019 11:24

I love graziano, I dont think he looked uncomfy in his outfit?
I like Mike actually. I think he is just taking a long time to get the steps etc but he has improved since day 1.

My final predictions are
1st place Michelle
2nd place keV
3rd place Saffron

I think keV started on such a high it's difficult to maintain although he was good this week.

Horehound · 28/10/2019 11:24

Wow my phone keeps changing Kelv to KeV wtf

Mrsjayy · 28/10/2019 11:25

soupdragon Grin

Katya was more reserved and calmer this week.

I meant to say I can't get into Aj &Saffron at all they are just so bland !

ElspethFlashman · 28/10/2019 11:41

I tend to forget they exist. Blush

Mrsjayy · 28/10/2019 12:02

See Elspeth bland Grin she has a trillion followers what does she talk about/do or does she just make her exciting life up for instagram bless her

LittleAndOften · 28/10/2019 12:12

AJ has always been bland. I think he's been in a ballroom bubble his whole life and hadn't had any life experience beyond it. I kind of wish he'd rebel, maybe shave his angelic locks or get a tattoo 😁

NumbersStation · 28/10/2019 12:16

I reckon Neil got too close to a camera when doing his gurn shot in rehearsal and knocked himself out. Only funning dude. Smile Get well soon.

I loved Emma W. And Joe and Shell.

I feel the precise sum of feck all when Karim dances.
Snap Saffron.

Fair play to Alex and KFFG.

I am gutted about Johannes. I love him. I cried.

But not as hard as I could have cried at work when I hadn't seen any of it (and wouldn't till this morning) and I read that post.

'sake blue you naughty git. You need to eat 3lb of bugle beads as a penance. And a pumpkin.

Raw.

Mrsjayy · 28/10/2019 12:17

Oh yes smoke a fag and snog his partner Grin

LittleAndOften · 28/10/2019 12:28

Punch a judge and swear at Tess Grin

Mrsjayy · 28/10/2019 12:32

HA ! Punch a judge Grin

NumbersStation · 28/10/2019 12:43

Fist Dave Arch?

OnlyTheTitOfTheIceberg · 28/10/2019 12:46

I had a sudden (and weird) burst of nostalgia for arm hankies. Remember when we used to have Propah Ballroom that Len would have approved of, with the bloke in tails and the woman in a pair of arm hankies guaranteed to attack her face like the monster from Alien as she emerged from an underarm turn?

TricklBOO · 28/10/2019 12:51

Bless him, Gio looks like Kevin The Gerbil. Last night was his Kevin The Gerbil Sex Face.

Apparently Saffron & AJ used sign language to spell out Happy Halloween. Then she posted on Instagram almost immediately afterwards asking if anyone had spotted it. I know she's an influencer / blogger and I'm an old hummer but I didn't see the need for her to run off stage and virtue signal post about it. (Yes I'm a miserable git).

SoupDragon · 28/10/2019 12:56

Funny you should say that about Saffron because I thought Emma B signed "thank you" as well as mouthing it to the camera when they weren't in the dance off.

Mrsjayy · 28/10/2019 13:00

Little bit Numbersstation Shock

Yes influincers are all a bit too look at me for my liking she didn't need to tell her gazillion followes she did a nice inclusive thing!

TricklBOO · 28/10/2019 13:05

Yes @SoupDragon - I thought that too.

TricklBOO · 28/10/2019 13:07
