You can shoehorn the Stranger Things plot into this if you try very hard but first verse about platform and suitcase would have to be left out (whole song was about a runaway because he was gay iirc). While some fora have discussed Will's sexuality it has feck all to do with plot. If Amy plays Mum/Winona Ryder that will just be weird.
