I feel similarly Horehound re: man in heels .

Johannes is slightly built. In general mens feet are flatter than womens and muscular/skeleton heavier. making walking in heels impossible for most men. Also dangerous. He was excellent in his diva mannerisms and thoroughly enjoying himself.

BBC1 is showing Mike's last dance - don't know what to call it- over and over again this morning. Each time I see it it gets worse but watchable due to the song and wonder what next week's abomination will entail.
After perhaps an enjoyable Halloween week Mike should go.

So - person dances in heels and it's social media news? Must have missed that on every single other week of Strictly when there are also loads of people dancing in heels.

A FB friend was fawning over Johannes this morning...🙄

Finally caught up on Saturday’s show and agree with everyone. The right person went, although Mike seems to have swerved the Hollins vibe and is just crap instead.

Karim’s salsa I actually really disliked, the lifts were awful - I assume that as he’s smaller than Amy he struggled with them.

My biggest issue is the judges though. Why do they have to be unfailingly positive about everyone and not offer constructive criticism and technical comment which is their job? I don’t like Motsi, just too enthusiastic and Shirley is irritating me with just perving on the men.

Given that men don't generally dance in heels of course it would get more attention than a woman dancing in their usual dance footwear 🙄

He looked smug and completely unsexy, at the end when Johannes has finished and his face pops up instead it’s such a turn off

Yes Polka I think Mike would 've been better without that strange outfit and strange partner! They could 've should've done a Bake Off elimination of both the Dad dancers!!!

I like Motsi she does try to save the contestants' self esteem but she is sometimes TOO kind.

I didn't enjoy that group dance at all, too much flouncing in and out and not enough dancing for me, I think I'm just a bit old school scd and would rather get rid of contempowaft and such like. Really [not] looking forward to halloween next week...fast forwarding aplenty on the ridiculous 'comedy' sketches...

Well it was based on a Fashion Show, Tits I preferred it to the other disco type dances they've done earlier. (it was easier to see the most of the cast for one thing) It was trailed on ITT and they talked about it being about "Voguing" which was ironic considering the charming Michelle used to do that. There wasn't much 'voguing' anyway was there?

Heels or no heels, Johannes absolutely stood apart from all the other pros last night. He's a huge asset to Strictly. He made Anton look like a Dad dancer.

I think he's also tapped into the zeitgeist, it's all about "slaying" and "fierceness" right now. His performance really spoke to that.

I'm not sure any of the other males pros would've been able to deliver that performance.

Don't be so obtuse. It was a MAN dancing in heels. Which isn't common on SCD. So yeah, that's why it's social media news.

I thought Anton was supposed to be a ridiculous figure in that dance? Not sexy but think he is, in love with himself and fame etc. I hope so anyway

I am sick of all the music-vid style pro dances though. I want some proper ballroom and a good samba one or something.

I didn't see Mike's dance first time round, but I thought he was OK in the DO and definitely better than David; there were at least three discernible samba steps in there!

i didn't like the pro dance. I like it when they do a proper dance.
Mike really needs to go, his "dance" was dire.

PS I really miss Gorka too. Nice to see him in the pro dances, but I like him with his partners; he's always so nice to them.

Really? I'm not sure people now hate Neil, Johannes has got a pro, so no one turned on him.
Also I think a lot of people just really enjoy his dancing energy, I don't think it has anything to do with it being 'cool'.

I was asking @Horehound that question in reference to her post saying that everyone now hates Neil. I was surprised by that. I love Neil.

If Johannes seems too good for his partner then he isn’t doing his job property. It’s the job of the pros to make their partners look good and quite often they’ll “dance down” so as not to highlight the gap between them. Also a little offensive to the other pros to suggest he’s somehow better than them, when they’re basically doing their job and letting the celeb shine.

If you think how useless Ed Balls was but Katya made him look good, and likewise Hollins and Ola, and Joe Sugg and Diane - they brought the best out of their partners without overshadowing them which is what Johannes should be doing with Catherine
