On another note, if it were me, I’d get those tags into a vehicle as quickly as possible to throw off the hunters.

I don't understand this show. If you were truly on the run wouldn't you steal credit cards from friends or strangers prior & if you wanted a burner phone surely you would send a mate to phones4u or get it yourself down the market?

What I'd do is pretty much empty my bank account as soon as I set off then get rid of my tracker. Then use cash for everything. I would hide out in a cheap hotel / tent in a place where I have zero connections. For pretty much the entire thing. I would make an agreement with family and Good friends that they wouldn't be hearing from me at all for the duration

I have a suspicion that it and the regular version is heavily orchestrated by Channel 4, they need to otherwise someone could just empty their bank account, and go live in the woods for a month, which wouldn't make good viewing for them.

I could quite easily disappear for a month if there wasn't the restrictions there that Channel 4 make, such as making your start point all in one place with everyone else, or that you can only withdraw so much money at a time from a cash point. If it was me, I'd withdraw £500 from an ATM and disappear with zero outside contact for a month.

The first series was the best when they all started in their own homes with a phonecall saying they're now being hunted.

I too preferred the very early series of Hunted but I suspect it showed how straightforward it would be to actually live 'off grid' if you needed to and that's why they added all these stupid rules! If I remember correctly, they have to make contact with a certain number of people, they aren't allowed to stay in one place over a certain number of hours and they aren't allowed all the money in one go.

I started watching CH last night but missed the last 25 miins due to a family drama of my own! Did SJ and Toff get caught? He was such an idiot!!! How about the chefs? Loved their Aerodrome switch Grin and I LOVE JC Novelli's accent Wink

In the last 2 series, not as noticeable when format was new, it became quite obvious that the camera crew must inform on the runners - because the hunter team don't really have access to ANPR it is simulated for if they did so how else would they know

I thought the bit about the credit card was staged. A similar thing happened last year when one of the slebs called their mum, despite being absolutely safe from capture.

We watched it , i thought if i had a phone i would just phone loads of people all in different locations so they wouldnt know which to choose. I was amazed at Stanley using his credit card! Twice! My DD mentioned how environmentally unfriendly the whole thing is. Then we thought we would get bikes or use footpaths/disused railway lines that cars cant go on so harder for them to chase.
