Ah, I didn’t spot it during the normal show, perhaps it wasn’t a mistake after all.
It looked bad IMO though!

Tojigornot · 13/10/2019 20:45

I don’t think the armography was meant to be in sync

lynsey91 · 13/10/2019 20:48

I'm gutted. Dev was one of my favourites (have liked him since seeing him in Masterchef). I thought he had the potential to be in it for quite a while.

I thought him and Diane danced better in the dance off.

Why the hell wasn't Mike or Michelle in the do? The both deserved to be. It was only the ridiculous scoring that had them not at the bottom of the board

100PercentThatBitch · 13/10/2019 20:50

Brendan is busy making a tit of himself on X Factor @GarethSouthgatesWaistcoat I doubt he'll have the time for DOI training

It was absolutely cringe making last night worth a watch

RageAgainstTheVendingMachine · 13/10/2019 20:51

Ooh that was awks. I don't think I've seen such sobbing since Chizzy was first boot. Dev will get a Xmas special at some point and Dianne will get a Xmas glitterball. He was expected to make it as far as Blackpool I would have thought but the cha cha music was dire, sandwiched between Emma and Johannes and utterly forgettable. Told you, they needed I got 5 on it and some gold scissors Wink

Theromanempire · 13/10/2019 20:52

It wasn't the armography...it was some footwork where Alijaz's feet were still moving and hers weren't!

Mrsjayy · 13/10/2019 20:55

Ah poor dev &Dianne the wrong people were in the bottom 2 i really felt for them.

I watched celeb x factor today Cole &Edwards HmmGrin

covetingthepreciousthings · 13/10/2019 20:59

Just watched the rest of the result show, totally read the spoiler wrong and thought it was Emma & Anton. It seems even worse now Sad

Really really felt for Diane, can tell she must be well liked within the team, with Claudia starting to tear up.

digerd · 13/10/2019 21:04

The cha cha is always a challenge for the men and many get their worst score for it, or the Rumba. I thought he did a good job of it, not brilliant, a little wafty with his arms and hands at times, but tonight he was in shock and didn't dance as well. Perhaps he saw the disappointment in Dianne's face and or was upset to think not many viewers voted for him.
Flavia and Louis did a lovely contemporary as their show dance and won. How I miss Flavia and Natalie.
Jeanette is dancing Contemporary next week Hmm. Good luck to them both.

GrouchyKiwi · 13/10/2019 21:13

I miss Natalie too. She was a joy to watch, especially her ballroom.

KurriKawari · 13/10/2019 21:15

Who else has been shock eliminations? The ones I can remember are Aston and Melvin. Must have been more but I need Monkseal level of knowledge to remember!

Mrsjayy · 13/10/2019 21:16

Janette will have loads of latin and will keep her shoes on so winwin for me

Bluffinwithmymuffin · 13/10/2019 21:27

TequilaPilates

Ah... thanks. I hadn’t heard.

Think judges are being quite harsh with Alex, no idea why.

unique1986 · 13/10/2019 21:32

Alex isn't interested in men I doubt anything is going on with her and Neil.
Tho people do go a bit crazy during strictly.

pinkteddy · 13/10/2019 21:32

So gutted for Dev and Dianne.

Other shock exits include Gaby Roslin, Pixie Lott and Tameka.

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 13/10/2019 21:38

What time is the dance-off usually finished on a Saturday? I have a Facebook group that I watch the Saturday show with, and then I usually come on here for further chatter. I've decided, following the 'surprise departure' comments before the Sunday show, that I won't be on this thread from when Digital Spy announce who leaves until after the Sunday show, but I'm not sure exactly when that is. Would I have 90 mins safe after the Saturday show, or less than that?

megletthesecond · 13/10/2019 21:40

hore I voted for Dev twice. Other vote was for Michelle.

unique1986 · 13/10/2019 21:42

The spoiler is normally between 10 30pm - 11 30pm

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 13/10/2019 21:45

Thank unique, that gives me plenty of time to bitch about the dances comment constructively.

unique1986 · 13/10/2019 21:47

My favourite dance of Devs was actually week 1.

1066vegan · 13/10/2019 21:50

It's a real shame that Dev was in the DO because he was a good dancer. I thought that the judges' comments on Saturday made it really clear that they thought that the choreography didn't play to his strengths and had let him down. I assumed that's why Dianne was so upset ie I thought she'd done the choreography and felt guilty.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 13/10/2019 21:52

I suddenly realised what awesome thighs he's hiding under those trousers - can't wait til they get him into something closer fitting...

Throws bucket of cold water over Zoidberg

SunshineCake · 13/10/2019 21:55

Every year on these threads we all complain about Tess but no one is listening Angry. She was barely tolerable when she was second fiddle to Sir Bruce but now, she spoils it for me tbh.

DerbyshireOatcake · 13/10/2019 22:02

@KurriKawari I remember DJ Spoony being a real shock early exit.

LaserShark · 13/10/2019 22:14

The show had a weird atmosphere this weekend overall. Bizarre, inconsistent scoring from the judges and so much emotion from the rest of them - it seemed very odd. Will looked absolutely despairing even when he was praised and scored decently; I couldn’t understand why he appeared so downcast. Katya’s hysteria was so uncomfortable to watch and Mike looked extremely nervous to be around her. I feel like her behaviour was just strange and disproportionate. And then Dianne’s heartbreak - I can see why she was shocked and disappointed but I was surprised she couldn’t hold it together. When Claudia teared up as well, I was wondering what on Earth was going on. The show definitely didn’t feel comforting and lighthearted. I hope they’re all ok!
