Changed the name of this thread as we were very upset with the ending of series 3 out in Bangladesh! Waiting out for news of series 4. In the meantime, we are reviewing the seven series of Soldier Soldier.

Well, after my two confusing messages, I'm not sure if either of you are going to turn up, but I'm on here and will wait and see!

Oh good Rhu, glad I didn't totally confuse you. Is it a new Love Your Garden? I usually cry through it too. And I do love Alan Titchmarsh. He's by far and away my favourite presenter.

So here we are on Series 5 - I think the episode is "Far Away".

Meanwhile, back in Blighty.....Donna and Marsha are having a girl's night in with a bottle of wine.

Macaulay is really growing up! What will he be? 4 or possibly 5?

DD has just called me, bless her, but I've put her off for an hour.

Now then, it's Donna's birthday and here's Nancy as well. Nice to see the girls back together.

Has Major Taylor ever been to Warminster??? I have, and there's no way it looks like Sydney!

So, Sadie's dull dress has three pips on her shoulder - cor, glamorous or what.

Back in Oz, the lads are getting ready for the night of entertainment. Oh no, Sadie is smoking some sort of cheroot (is that what they're called). It doesn't suit her at all.

Looks a very posh sort of evening.

The girls are having a night in to celebrate Donna's birthday.

Both Donna and Nancy are in a muddle over what to do with their lives and careers. Nancy is less keen on her career now and wants children.

Oh, Jeremy is a poet...or at least he's memorised one. Michael looks bored.

Jeremy has wasted talent there! He's been a compere before and now does poetry recitals!

Oh goodness here are the upper class do gooders...officer's wives!

Georgina, the padre's wife, is the doctor's secretary in Call the Midwife.

Donna's making a great impression. I think Marsha feels a bit uncomfortable now she has to socialise with the upper ranks.

You would not want to get involved with those wives of officers. They make me cringe!

Sadie's not very officer-like is she?

Oh goodness, here comes a Dave, Paddy and Joe special. It's Waterloo but not as you know it.

Jeremy is back again - doing his compere act again!

I absolutely love the lads dressed up as Abba. It still makes me laugh and I've watched it about 3 times!

Do you think Sadie fancies Rory? (And who wouldn't really). They seem to be sitting rather close together.

This really is very funny. Just look at the tough Aussie sergeant's expression of disgust. Michael prefers this to poetry readings methinks.
