If Greg is a rugby player and studying law, it is definitely likely that he is from a rich family.
Being rich makes your life easier alright, but it doesn't necessarily make you a lovely person. So his parents have definitely brought him up well. Well done Mr and Mrs O Shea

And I think it might have been better if they had men older than the women. Maura & Curtis for e.g. He's 23, not yet weaned while she's 28 and at the age of thinking of settling down.
All of Ireland fancied Greg and Maura (even my Dad, nearly 70 watches it).
Greg has a career, but I can see him getting extra sponsorship deals, or advertising etc. Can't see Amber lighting up the world tbh.
If Chubby Curtis loses the few pounds he's put on - which he probably will when he gets back dancing, he'll probably be on one of the Strictly Come Dancing type shows this year.

Ye, @Angel, I disliked Amber initially, but over the past week or so I've totally changed my opinion of her.

Why did Greg get 50k and Amber get 0 at first? I have to watch on catch up later.

I'd also say Tommy's fights will attract more publicity and sponsorship deals now. MM will continue to be an influencer... The new words I've learned this series lol

It's the way they do it. 2 envelopes. One with 0, one with th 50k. The one who gets the envelope with the 50k can keep it or share it.

@angell84 There were two envelopes and they each had to pick one randomly. A picked first and got 0. Then Greg picked and got £50k and had the choice to keep or share.

Wow. Has anyone ever kept it all?

I thought the way they did it before was they had cards saying share or steal and then both had to decide whether they’d share or steal the £50k. If they both picked share, they share, if one picks steal then they got it all and I’d they both picked steal they got nothing.

Also, does anyone else find it interesting that the professional sportsmen were the only honourable blokes?
Didn't notice that until you said it. But as a later poster said, they're probably accustomed to pressure, limelight and competition.

It could also be argued that to become a professional sportsman, you need serious dedication, drive, ambition, talent, hard work and self discipline. All of those traits are very attractive in men.

I'm happy Amber and Greg won. I always love it when the under dogs win.

I didnt like her to begin with. I agree with another poster that we saw a catty side to her.. Around the time there was an Amy/Yewande/Anna clique going on against Lucie, I couldn't stand her. But I think in the absence of bitchy girls and a positive influence from Greg, over the last few weeks, she really shone.

I didn’t like Amber to start with either but I think she’s a nice girl, just young, and I think she’s matured during the show

Did you guys see on instagram - all the other love island people were at a party watching the final, and every one of them wanted amber and greg to win. They were shouting "amber amber" at the screen.

It was at an isawtifirst party in the UK. I would really advise anyone missing love island to watch the love island people's stories!
I feel like I know everything Joanna, Michael, Anna, Fran, Chris, Harley and Anton hve done since they got back to the UK.
Anton just put up a clip of him reuniting with Joe.
Maybe I need to find other things to do lol, but right now it is fun to catch up with them

On the interviews i have seen, the islanders who have been dumped have all said Maura and Curtis were genuine they have also been shocked that viewers thought MM wasn't into Tommy so who knows. It is heavily edited of course.

I agree that the others were shocked re Greg and Amber, they have seen MM and Tommy day in day out and absolutely believe they are for real so probably have no idea of the conspiracy theories outside so they probably can't see why they wouldn't have won. Trouble is older, wiser people possibly see that MM is more intellectual than Tommy whereas it wouldn't cross their mind in the villa.

I think the outside islanders wanted Amber and Greg to win as she had a bit of a shit time so it's nice she seems happy.

Amber isn't a ' young girl' she is a grown woman in her 20s who has put herself on a national TV show which judges people based on looks and to a lesser degree personality.
I suspect she won because the show is very popular in the North East

Tommy and MM are my winners.
I don't think Amber and Greg deserved to win after being a couple for such a short amount of time
