I'm in for 40's Love Island. Only trouble is we'd get a text and then endlessly pass it round squinting at the screen trying to read it

Thanks for the cracking company over the last few weeks! Bit gutted winter LI is in January, I'll miss it as we will be travelling around SE Asia for most of it (January) not that I'm complaining about that .

Hmmm not sure about India and Ovie lasting. She's a v bright and for want of a better word, spunky girl. Remember her bants with Chris? She morphed herself into Mrs Laidback to fit in with Ovie but not sure that's her natural state. I preferred her more natural way with Chris.

I, too, have enjoyed these threads, so thank you chaps!

I'm looking forward to SA and imagine that watching all the sunshine and frolics in the depth of winter will be a real tonic.

I’ve thought from the start she was one of the most beautiful contestants they’ve had, and if I had a bum like hers my wardrobe would consist entirely of thong bikinis and arseless chaps so I can’t even hold that against her.

My favourite couple didn't win but I really like Amber and Greg. I just didn't think they'd been together long enough unlike MM&T who are totally loved up (well he is anyway) and that's the whole point of the show. Anyway thank goodness Curtis didn't win! He was only in the final because of Maura. I wanted to punch the tv every time he opened his mouth to give some "wise" dad advice! He only coupled up with Maura cuz he was petrified of her and was scared not to 🤣. He certainly doesn't have any feelings for her.

I'm gonna miss these entertaining threads, discussing in detail people we don't know. And the awful fashion adverts. I'm off to get my life back. Nah only joking - I'm gonna watch series 2! Bye!!!

Amber and Greg would've been the first to split but they'll be under pressure to keep it going as winners (at least for a bit).

Just seen a clip of Maura, Curtis , Ovie and India clapping. Maura looked shocked and almost disappointed. She wasn't smiling at all

I think that's Maura's 'oh shit that lovely Irish winner cracked on with me at one point and I rejected him for this chubby twat behind me that my mudder doesn't even like, are ya jokin'? face.

The arses out has been the norm in every other season, and as Alias said, if I had an arse like Amber's I'd have no qualms about getting it out either. Amber is absolutely stunning.

I think Amber and Greg won because of the change in her since she's been with him. She's seemed happier and softer, something she herself alluded to last night. People can change, I think a lot of early Amber was a front to hide her insecurities, attack being the best form of defence and all that. She's not perfect, she's flawed like us all and she's still very young. I'm sure most of us could be dickheads at 21.

Molly-Mae is a bright, savvy young woman who thought coupling up early and sticking with it would be a sure fire way to win, judging by how it had gone in past seasons. It didn't work for her because she wasn't genuine in her feelings for Tommy and it was too long to keep up the facade. I give them 6 months.

After watching the full episode from last night (my sky failed for 1st half) I genuinely think all the couples do believe their feelings at this time, who knows if they will last but in RL couples don't either. I seriously cannot see what people are seeing with Curtis and Maura, you may not like him but I cannot see what others are seeing to say they don't like each other. I really like Maura, I didn't at first but she is lovely IMO. She looked so emotional in Tommy and Molly's speeches, as did Curtis.

I thought all the men looked overwhelmed by the girls when they came out in their dresses, it looked genuine to me but maybe I am not a cynical old misery just yet, maybe it's nice to think they may all give it a go, regardless of how it turns out.

I am more than happy to admit to being wrong as and when of course.

I have actually enjoyed this series, it's the first full one I have watched, I am off to watch S2 now, a bit irritated it's not on ITV hub on sky, it only seems to be online.

I don't think any of them could have won with the public - too fake, don't like each other, only in for the 50K, which is peanuts compared to what they will earn when they come out.

Amber has a beautiful face and yeah they have their butt cheeks hanging out and some have the underboob thing going on but isn't that the whole ethos of the show?
Amber has stunning hair and a beautiful face. She was a little catty at the start but not as much as others (anna) and Greg brings out the best in her.

I think Maura is just genuinely shocked that’s MM/T - who coupled up really early on, didn’t really get with anyone else and did all the milestones (going official, saying I love you) didn’t win against a new couple that hadn’t been tested. She’s also gutted as she’s really close to MM. I’m happy Greg and Amber won but a portion of the votes were definitely tactical anti Molly votes. I was surprised A/G won, they were surprised, so why wouldn’t the islanders be? And there probably was a slight feeling that they didn’t deserve it over a long running couple that had been through more together.

You can tell from Greg that he was well reared. I'd hazard a guess that he comes from a pretty middle class educated family. Probably a very close and loving family.

Maura will easily make a 'forchun' in Ireland cos she's 'rale' popular over there.
Curtis doesn't give a shit about her, but Maura's Mammy was wise to that so will steer her in the right direction no doubt once she's out.
Tommy & MM do seem very much in love to me.

Greg and Amber have little spark, but there is genuine affection there - I can't see a relationship developing. But I ain't go no crystal ball.

Did you see the instagram stories of the love island people who were already out. They were at a party for the final and they were all cheering on Greg and Amber to win.

Greg was far and away the nicest man in there. Just for being nice he deserved to win.

I did not like Amber at the start. But going from being bitchy, to surviving being hurt by Mike, to being happy with Greg - she definitely had a journey and I think she deserved to win too
