First episode of season 9 (the last season) just went up. I’ve loved and watched this show for years, feels like the right time for it to end but looking forward to watching this season given some of the recent developments and the reported return of Mike for an episode.

Any other fans?

Got up at 5.30 this morning so that I could watch it without any child related interruptions!

Sunshine1235 · 20/07/2019 17:27

4under4 - that’s my kind of commitment! What did you think?

Ps. I may have watched it illegally because Netflix took a while to get it up - just so you know my levels of commitment

Usually takes me a few episodes to really get in to it but I did enjoy it. Love Donna and Harvey! You?

Sunshine1235 · 21/07/2019 15:14

Yeh I thought it was great, I found season 8 a bit dull but this felt like more of a return to the old Suits humour. I’ve loved Harvey and Donnas will they/won’t they so was wondering if I’d like them as an actual couple but thought they nailed it. That scene at the start with Louis was hilarious 😂

We're watching it (me & DH).
I'll be honest we watch it in a tongue-in-cheek way now Grin

Sunshine1235 · 21/07/2019 19:56

Like counting how many times they say Goddammit and do ridiculous unethical things?

It is quite silly but in an enjoyable way

Posted too soon.

We watch for the epic flouncing and I'm frequently gobsmacked by the dresses it will look very dated in 10 years time.

We're 10 minutes into episode 1 and Donna's pale blue fold-shoulder dress that looks like she's got an envelope stuck to each boob Grin

Some tremendous flouncing so far too.

Apologies for missing the point of the thread, we do enjoy Suits otherwise we wouldn't watch it.
The series' usually pick up as the storylines get going a few episodes in.

BeCoolYolande · 21/07/2019 19:59

Oh phew!
Yes Sunshine1235 the Goddamit count is strong with this one.

Sunshine1235 · 22/07/2019 07:15

Oh yes the flouncing! They’re always so outraged but then usually they’re totally in the wrong. And let’s not get started on the obsession with getting their name on the wall.

I would forgive Harvey Specter anything though tbf.

Haha that dress was ridiculous, Katrina in particular often has some awful outfits

2 minutes in to episode 2. Hilarious!

Whodeenie · 10/08/2019 22:17

Yes I've just watched the first 8 seasons and now into season 9.
Love Donna and Harvey. Really hope it works out. And Louis and Sheila, hope everything goes OK with the baby. Louis needs happiness in his life.
The storylines are unbelievable but I can't stop watching. And the dresses and shoes the ladies wear. I'd like the believe that's what they dress like in real Manhattan law firms but somehow doubt it.
Look forward to Mike returning if the rumours are true.

Love love 💕

BeCoolYolande · 06/09/2019 20:55

When is the next episode of Suits on Netflix?

Wasrelaxing · 06/09/2019 21:46

Every friday

BeCoolYolande · 07/09/2019 21:53

Think they're having the mid season break at the moment Wasrelaxing?

BeCoolYolande · 07/09/2019 21:58

Actually nope, you're right there is a new one this week but wasn't last week Smile

BeCoolYolande · 16/09/2019 08:14

Oh my goodness, The cliche factor is so high this season they I'm thinking of starting a spot-the-cliche drinking game.

Samantha says she doesn't like talking about her childhood and then proceeds to spend the whole episode talking about her childhood, with added flashbacks.

YobaOljazUwaque · 16/09/2019 23:17

I'm a little behind the rest of you. Not sure exactly what episode I am on but probably s9e2 or thereabouts. I agree the outfits aren't entirely credible - especially the ones where they are naked from an inch below the armpits upwards. I did like Sheila's advice to Katrina that she might want to frump it up a bit.

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 17/09/2019 19:14

Watching and enjoying for its utter ridiculousness. The dresses are extraordinary, Donna never disappoints, although she has this very strange way of holding her hands together and her elbows apart as though she's about to break into song.

I’d love Mike to come back

I’m so happy for Donna and Harvey to finally get it on........I hope it works for them

Sunshine1235 · 22/09/2019 19:48

Didn’t realise I was still getting replies to this thread sorry - no idea what the edit above was about I didn’t request anything 🤷🏻‍♀️

Anyway just came on to see how everyone is feeling about the season (and series) finale this week? I’m pretty sad to see it all end this season has been great. Some classic suits ridiculous moments - Louis pretending to be Harvey anyone? But I really have a soft spot for all the characters and I loved the Donna/Harvey stuff this season and the return of Mike (although I was quite angry with him at the end of episode 5) Harvey has only got better with age in my humble opinion

Also Catfleas a Suits drinking game would get you so wasted. They repeat so many phrases ‘what did you just say to me’ ‘goddammit’ ‘the true is’ etc etc.

Also they have about three plot devices

  • name changing drama
  • heart attacks
  • Danile Hartman

Or a Suits board game! With shots!! I think we're definitely onto something.

That episode with Louis pretending to be Harvey was a gem. But better yet was Louise in his underpants, that's a sight I won't unsee. And I've seen him mudding.

Missteebeee · 27/09/2019 14:22

Anyone watched the last one yet?

Sad
