First episode of season 9 (the last season) just went up. I’ve loved and watched this show for years, feels like the right time for it to end but looking forward to watching this season given some of the recent developments and the reported return of Mike for an episode.

Any other fans?

Oh arse, I just read my last post. Autocorrect strikes again, who the fuck is Louise?

Just watched it. Wtf.
Who proposes and gets married at someone else’s wedding??

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 27/09/2019 21:47

Completely nuts. And surely Rachel would have come to the wedding, even if they had to cast a double and shoot her scenes from a distance. I think we can conclusively say there won't be another series...

I know, they didn’t even bother with “There’s a storm in Seattle and Rachel can’t get a fight”
Louis pissed me off by being in the office when his wife was still in hospital following an emergency c section
The abject cheesiness of it all was hilarity though

I haven’t watched the end of this season yet but my 14 year old daughter and I watched all the seasons from the beginning while she was off school for a month last Easter. I had to tell her people don’t constantly shout and are not so bitchy to each other all the time in real life!

Just watched it! It’s crazy and ridiculous - like surely most the guests at the wedding wouldnt know them at all. I kept thinking of mumsnet when Donna said ‘I want to go see Louis’ - no it is not ok to go visit in hospital about an hour after a baby is born.

But I’m glad that they all have happy endings. I’m not into shows constantly giving characters sad endings (hello greys anatomy) so it’s nice to think of them all living happily ever after

The show is definitely over and I think they knew that from the start of this season. I follow Sarah Rafferty on instagram and she’s been posting emotional good bye posts forever 😂❤️

I do think that the scriptwriters started sending the whole thing up more and more in this last series. Perhaps they thought, "fuck it, they've cancelled the show, we can do what we like".

It's been a hugely enjoyable ride but I think it had reached its natural end.

I wonder what the future holds for the cast. They can't all marry into royalty.
